Interesting research into leaders in the UK and Australia (see link in comments). How can we support leaders better? At Yakbit we can do this by providing leaders with private insights into how they run their everyday meetings and what could be done better. An interesting study out today on how students are combining subjects and disciplines.  Interdisciplinary skills are often highly valued by employers because they foster innovation, holistic problem-solving, and effective communication across teams. This diversity of skills and perspectives leads to creative solutions and therefore crucially, a more adaptable workforce, making employees more valuable in various roles and being able to understand, adapt but most importantly #communicate with each other. What do you think of this data? #UK #alevels

    ESG or not to ESG..

Is the term ESG starting to sound weary and makes you gloss over? Well, it would not be a surprise if it is. So many companies are talking about it. Everyday there are news articles mentioning it. Here on LinkedIn, it is possible to find thousands of posts about it. At the end of the day, a term that stands for environmental, social and governance in business starts to sound somewhat shallow, just something companies use to look like they are doing some good. In the words of Peter McKillop in his article “ESG: The term everyone loves to hate” - “to many, ESG is a critical path forward to solving vexing issues confronting large global organizations. To others, it is the intellectual Pet Rock of our era”. And the reason for that is simple: greenwashing. It is clear that many businesses are not taking ESG goals seriously or worse, fabricating scores just to look appealing for investors. However, it does not need to be like this. Here at Yakbit, we are proposing that companies take a different route. By looking into meeting patterns, it is possible to identify productivity issues and improve gender equality in the workplace. Wouldn't it be great to go beyond? The responsibility of Governance is to take EDI seriously. How do you make ESG something palpable and real for employees? If you want to know more about how Yakbit can help your business, feel free to get in touch. What about you? Is the term ESG turning you off? #Yakbit #Productivity #ESG #GenderEquality #Greenwashing
