April is Stress Awareness Month - a time to reflect on the impact of stress and how we can manage it. Stress affects us all, but when left unchecked, it can take a toll on our mental and physical health. This year, perhaps you can prioritise self-care, set healthy boundaries, and reach out for support when needed. Small changes - like mindful breathing, exercise, or simply talking to someone - can make a big difference. At YMCA Trinity Group, we're here to help individuals and organisations build resilience. Let's start the conversation and support each other. #YMCAtrinity #StressAwarenessMonth #Wellbeing #MentalHealthMatters

Removing the barriers to mental wellbeing that prevent communities from thriving
About us
YMCA has been supporting young people in the UK and across the world for over 150 years. During the last 35 years we have developed extensive expertise in positive mental wellbeing which builds on our world-leading physical health programmes. Our primary focus is to support not only children and young people, but also the people and communities around them. We take a holistic approach to support, working with whole organisations, young people, their parents and carers to help develop a positive wellbeing culture. We are specilists in education settings but we also support a range of other audiences, parents, youth organisations and other charities amongst others.

Nutrition and Hydration Week is a great reminder that what we eat and drink directly impacts our mental health. Dehydration and poor nutrition can lead to fatigue, low mood, and difficulty concentrating. Staying hydrated, eating a balanced diet, and maintaining stable blood sugar levels can help improve focus, reduce stress and support overall wellbeing. At YMCA Trinity Group, we recognise the link between physical and mental health. Small, positive changes - like drinking more water or adding nutrient rich foods to your diet can make a big difference. How do you prioritise nutrition for your mental wellbeing? #YMCAtrinity #NutritionAndHydrationWeek #Wellbeing

Prioritising Sleep for Better Mental Health This World Sleep Day (March 14th), we're highlighting the vital role sleep plays in our mental health. Poor sleep can contribute to stress, anxiety, and low mood, making it harder to cope with daily challenges. On the other hand, good sleep supports emotional resilience, focus, and overall wellbeing. If stress is affecting your sleep, talking to someone can help. At YMCA Trinity Group, we support mental wellbeing through counselling, training and workplace support. This World Sleep Day, prioritise rest - it's essential for your mental health. #YMCAtrinity #WorldSleepDay #MentalHealth

International Women's Day: Prioritising Women's Mental Health On International Women's Day, we celebrate the achievements of women across the world - but we must also recognise the challenges many still face, including those that impact mental health. Women often juggle multiple roles, from careers to caregiving, while navigating societal pressures and inequalities. This can lead to increased stress, anxiety, and burnout. Yet, women's mental health is sometimes overlooked, with expectations to "keep going" even when struggling. At YMCA Trinity Group, we believe that mental health should be a priority, not an afterthought. Whether it is supporting women in the workplace, offering guidance to mothers balancing responsibilities, or encouraging open conversations about wellbeing, we're committed to making a difference. This International Women's Day, let's not only celebrate but also advocate - for better support, greater understanding, and spaces where women feel heard and valued. #YMCAtrinity #IWD2025 #MentalHealthMatters #WomensWellbeing
