Group Commercial Director at YMU I Talent Partnerships & Strategy I Building Personality Brands

Rylan Clark’s new social video format is taking off! 🛫 Over the last few weeks, our social & digital teams collaborated with Rylan to develop a new social video format for his channels. He wanted to create an original social video format that was totally unique to him, embodied his sense of fun and unique infectious personality, and allowed for free-flowing content collaborations with other celebrities and creators. The result? "Air Rylan" 🎬 A show where Rylan interviews special guests on his very own plane - diving into the good, the bad, and the unforgettable conversations that happen at 30,000 feet. ‘Air Rylan’ is inspired by the surprising conversations we often find ourselves having with strangers on a plane - giving viewers an inside look into the lives of their favourite stars.. as they unload their baggage and settle in for the long haul. Working with leading producers StudioB and our in-house creative & social team, the team built a studio plane set for the series - complete with ‘Air Rylan’ branded seats, beverages, magazines, passports and crew outfits. Rylan’s first few guests include social media stars & TV personalities including GK Barry, Danny Dyer, Miriam Margolyes, Ash Holme and many others - with episodes dropping weekly across Instagram, Tik Tok and YouTube, launching today. Through the teaser campaign in the build up, Rylan has already seen unique levels of engagement across his social channels: ⏭ 6.2million+ organic views of the teaser content on Instagram last 7 days ⏩️ 2.3million+ organic views of the teaser content on Tik Tok last 7 days ⏭ 300%+ growth in organic post reach last 7 days on Rylan’s Instagram, and 250%+ organic post reach on TikTok  ⏩️ 26 press articles teasing the series, driving wider earned media pick up A good example of how original social video formats can draw in new audiences for talent & creators, and unlock the power of collaborations. Shout out to Nader Dehdashti, Jade Whiteley, Blaise McGowan, our Head of Creative Cavella Pottinger, Summer Bourne, Jessica Titus, the YMU Studios team, and our production partners StudioB

    Chief Executive Officer at YMU

As reported in Deadline Hollywood YMU has completed its financial restructuring, with Permira Credit as our new majority shareholders. I’m delighted to finally be able to post about the deal – which was the result of so much hard work and commitment from the teams involved.   Our capital structure and balance sheet is transformed, with much less debt – and we now have an access to investment capital. This is a deal that unlocks so much new potential for YMU, our colleagues, clients and customers:   * We’re investing in our business - we have been working behind the scenes for the last 6 months on some additions to the Group which will further propel us in our core business areas - details coming soon
 * We’re on the hunt for acquisitions   * We’re reshaping aspects of the business for the future – more to come on that tomorrow!   At the start of 2022 we had just launched a Social division – now Lucy Loveridge ‘s team is the undisputed market leader in the space with signings including Mrs Hinch, Dr Julie, Jamie Laing, ShxtsnGigs and just recently Patricia Bright (with more to be announced in the coming days).   DSM, which we acquired in September 2022, is another digitally-powered area of growth, led by the excellent Tom Henderson and Robert Wadsworth   In just the first two months of 2024, clients including Claudia Winkleman, ShxtsnGigs, Evan Ferguson, Graham Norton, Amelia Dimoldenberg and Stacey Solomon – and too many more to list – have been doing their best work. Winning awards. Fronting hit shows. Breaking records. And all supported by the best-in-class teams at YMU.   It’s a privilege for me to lead this most remarkable company, with its incomparable roster of clients – and the best is yet to come.   https://lnkd.in/endSFjbx
