Our girl's hub going from strength to strength 💪 🏏 Great work Matthew Crookes 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
💬 "I really didn't have much confidence in myself, but when I joined cricket, things have been better for me" Lord's Taverners' mission is to include and empower more women and girls to play cricket by creating bespoke cricket sessions across the UK 🏏 Earlier this year, newly opened girls-only Yorkshire Cricket Foundation Wicketz hubs from Leeds, Bradford and Hull joined at Headingley Stadium for a cricket festival where young people were able to compete, share their experiences and show off their skills. Take a look at the impact our Wicketz programme is having in communities in this short feature 👇 🎥

🌟 Let's Talk! 🌟 We had a fantastic, interactive mental health evening with our Core Cities participants, addressing important topics such as anxiety, depression, and loneliness. After conducting surveys with our participants from the indoor softball and tapeball leagues, we listened to their needs and organised an evening to raise awareness about mental health and the available support within our communities. It was a great evening, featuring three incredible speakers. Did you know that in the UK, 1 in 4 people experience a mental health problem each year, with anxiety, depression, and loneliness being among the most common? (NHS, 2024) A big thank you to jimmy gittins and Ian Smith from State of Mind Sport, Maulana Fazal Dad, and Vinesh Patel BSc, MPharm for sharing their stories- top feedback from all attendees! Yesterday, we again had the immense pleasure of celebrating community and cricket at the Bradford Park Avenue Dome, working alongside the BEAP Community Partnership The day included thrilling community cricket exhibition matches, featuring international players from Bangladesh, plenty of food and a trophy presentation at the Prestige Hall. The event was a fantastic showcase in bringing together cricket lovers and inspiring the local Bangladeshi community. The Bangladesh international stars delivered a spectacular performance, showcasing their skills and dedication in giving back to their community and the BEAP Bengal Tigers cricket club. They laughed, joked and shared their experiences with the community, inspiring the young upcoming players. Stay tuned for more progress on the BEAP Bengal Tigers cricket club 🏏 Nasa Hussain Mohammad Hazifa Sohail Raz Lukman Miah #Cricket #CommunityEvent #BradfordParkAvenueDome #BangladeshiCommunity #Inspiration #CommunitySpirit #CommunityWithoutBoundaries
