Our clients have dedicated over 150 trees to the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust since April, when we pledged to plant a tree for every will we write or update. 🌱 This is in addition to the 1,500 trees that we've enabled to be planted since the partnership began two years ago. The trust works tirelessly to restore woodland cover to the Dales, delivering diverse and inspirational projects to create habitats for wildlife, tackle climate change and connect marginalised groups with nature. Wow wow wow, our first attempt at entering the Third Sector Business Charity Awards and we were shortlisted in not 1, not 2 but 3 categories - so we got our glad rags on and set off to London to see if just maybe we could win one… We only blooming went and did!!! 🏆🥈🏅 We WON Best Environmental Charity Partnership with the INCREDIBLE Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust, a partnership we cherish so dearly here at Leeds Building Society, getting to work with Richard Hore, Leah Galloway and Michael Devlin 🌳 We were awarded most Highly Commended for CSR team of the year!!! This is a HUGE achievement, especially when it’s just us four Imogen Graham, Wendy Carter and Nikki Ayrton! We were up against some huge teams and success’ - go us 🥳 And we were finalists for the Best Banks and Financial Servies Charity Partnership with the wonderful Dementia UK for our Closer To Home Clinics across our Branch Network. Working in partnership with the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust, High Speed Training are helping to tackle the climate and biodiversity crises in areas close to our our HQ in Ilkley. We are proudly supporting the planting of 250 trees, and the restoration of 1 hectare of wildflower meadow each year.
