This week, Young Bristol is celebrating National Trustee Week, which is an annual celebration of the achievements and incredible work Trustees offer to our charity!🙌 Kassim has been a Trustee with Young Bristol since 2011! Eli's story📣 This week, we are celebrating National Youth Work Week! Young Bristol continue to encourage and support young people to volunteer across our programmes; where they can gain new experiences, develop their skills and empower them to succeed!💪 Eli is one of the 27 young people we have supported to volunteer across our programmes, here is his story: Eli, age 16, has overcome a number of challenges prior to joining The Grove. Prior to joining the club, Eli spoke very little English.🤝 Eli completed his Young Leader training in February 2024. To celebrate Youth Work Week 2024, we will be sharing case studies each day from youth workers who have undergone our training. Read about the impact our training has has had on their practice and confidence in their roles. We will also have some of their organisations explaining the differences they have seen in their staff undertaking our qualifications. Little Wren and Autumn Moon! 🌙 This week, we were pleased to see Bristol Old Vic Theatre School host a performance of 'Little Wren and Autumn Moon', specifically for Young Bristol members at Bedminster Ex Service Club!🎭✨ The story saw Little Wren save the magical Leigh Woods from danger! This performance was fun for all the family, and it was great to see our young people join us alongside their parents and younger siblings.👨👩👦👦 We would like to thank Bristol Old Vic Theatre School for hosting this amazing performance for young people!🙌 #ThankYou #YoungPeople #FamilyFun #TheatreSchool

Our Stories: Dasha📣 Dasha, aged 17, has faced incredible adversity during her life, overcoming considerable challenges whilst maintaining a focus on supporting others and working towards her own potential.🙌 Dasha is an inspiration to other young people on the Outdoor Employment Programme; with her desire to help and encourage others.
