We`re ready to take it to the next level! Celebrating the 10th anniversary in Italy, Como was fruitful on so many levels. Among many other things, it inspired us to recognize that we are mature enough to define some new roles. ✨️😊 So, here it goes: 👇🏽 Peter Little will be taking the role as the #CEO of the YouthBank International. Meaning, his role will be more strategic and protective in terms of the YouthBank legacy. Vernon Ringland will be continuing his role as the #founder of the YouthBank International, his role will be focused on advocacy and building the awareness around decision making and money in the hands of young people, but also on continuing disrupting the norms! Here's to our new adventures 🍾🎊🎉🤘🏼

YouthBank International reposted this
“Youth is now! Against all odds!” Our YBI Ukraine participants attended The YouthBank FITO Conference in Como YouthBank International and spent three intense days with young people from 6 European countries. Thanks to the participants from different countries, the girls had the opportunity to learn how the model works outside of Ukraine and what features each YouthBank has. The girls talked about their work and their challenges during the war. Despite everything, they continue to work, create projects, solve problems in their communities, and build their dreams. 💡 We want to share some insights from the conference: 🔹“I was impressed by the way the Italian YBI works. They have youth bankers and planners, the former of whom deal with community priorities, conduct interviews, etc. Instead, youth planners only raise funds. This approach works because YBI participants don't have to think about fundraising; everyone has their tasks and priorities to focus on... I also liked that they set an “agenda of change” for the year and move according to it”, – Diana Bulay, participant of YBI Svitlovodsk 🔹“I learned that YBI Manchester focuses exclusively on current social issues. For example, support for mental health or assistance to people without a specific place of residence... YBIs in Ukraine have a wider range of areas”, – Daria Nikorchuk, YBI Odesa 💭 Representatives of Italian YBI shared one of the fundraising systems that interested the girls. It includes more business-oriented ideas in their work. For example, they worked with local businesses or created their products or designs for sales. 🔹“We not only learned about others, but we were able to tell about ourselves and form a new idea of the IBIs of different countries about us”, – said Daria.

How proud are we? Super, super proud!! 😍 Why are we proud? 🔆 It all started in February 2024 when the YouthBank International was selected as one of 4 not-for-profit organisations to become the client to the UTS law students at the UTS Law Brennan Program! 🔆The YouthBank International team of UTS Law students and their Allens mentors have built the law app using Neota Logic software. The Challenge ➡ To engage young people of YouthBanks deeply into critical thinking and to compare their initiatives with the SDGs. 🔆The app will be available to all the young people of YouthBanks around the world. 🔆The app helps young people to identify and compare the problems they want to solve in their communities with the SDGs, but also, it will detect if, and where, the SDGs fall short! 🔆The YouthBank International team of UTS law students has received a special mention for "Coding that advances cosmopolitanism and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals" Even though our team did not win this year`s challenge, we want to thank them from the bottom of our hearts! You are the winners in our eyes!!! 🙌💓 The YBI team 👇 Noah Darmenia, Melissa Dib, Maeve Callanan, Phoebe Ralston and Eliza Morgan. ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Special thanks to: the jury 👇 ➡Peter Campbell, Head of Legal Product Lab, Allens ➡Mark Tyndall, VP Director of Markets & Growth in APAC, Neota Logic ➡Professor Anita Stuhmcke, Dean, UTS Faculty of Law and to the partners 👇 ➡Allens Law firm ➡Neota Logic ➡University of Technology Sydney ℹ The Brennan Program is a free voluntary program for UTS Law students that seeks to strengthen the justice consciousness, idealism and sense of service that they bring to their studies and later professional work. With over 1400 students and alumni currently registered, the program is indicative of UTS Law students’ interest in social justice and their desire to go beyond the academic curriculum.
