It's no secret that we think there's still a way to go to work on the challenges faced by women in the workplace. While there's been huge progress, there's still more to be done. Education about the root causes of the barriers faced by female leaders is a key first step in tackling them - and this report from Cripps is a deep look into where we're at, and what can be done.

The most effective stories are visual ones, with people retaining around 95% of messages they see compared to just 10% they read. But if you haven’t got your visual brand sorted how can you know what visuals to use in your storytelling? Check out our latest article to find out at 🔗 https://lnkd.in/ejCbQpQz

Head of Client Strategy at Yoyo

Last week I hosted my first networking lunch, and loved every second, thanks to my co-host Lidia Drane, my brilliant strategy team Daniel Barron and Ellie Barrett, and all the lovely attendees. Together we discussed the topic of justifying the cost of ongoing digital investment, covering how to leverage data, demonstrate ROI, stay ahead of the competition, mitigate risk and take a value-led approach to budget planning. We concluded the session spotlighting on the benefits of developing strategic roadmaps, and how working in partnership with agencies this way can ensure brands are maximising their ongoing digital investment. It was a great session, with everyone around the table sharing their experiences and offering brilliant insights, and I want to thank everyone who came for their energy, ideas and presence. I hope you found it as enjoyable and valuable as we did. At Yoyo we're always seeking opportunities to bring people together, and connect through shared challenges and ideas. I very much hope to be hosting my next networking lunch soon - if you have any ideas on topics you'd like us to cover, from digital strategy and optimising your brand or charity's presence online, through to client servicing and how to create a roadmap for success, please send them my way! #networking #yoyo #workinglunch #digital #roadmapping #digitalstrategy #justifyingthecostofongoinginvestment #purposedriven #onamission

In case you hadn’t heard, some of our team took on an epic challenge last friday, to walk the tunbridge wells weald circular and trudge through 27.5 miles of mud, rain and pain. It was cold, it was wet, it was brutal conditions and we even ended up doing the final leg in the pitch black. Amongst the lows there were some very big highs though, lots of laughs, games, team challenges and lots of team spirit and in the end, lots of money raised. We’ve currently raised over £1,200 for Demelza Charity already and with Yoyo promising to match fund our team donations and a few more final donations, we’re hoping to hit the £1500 mark. All in all an epic success for a very strong and determined team but more importantly to help support the families and children of Demelza Charity and we hope it goes some way to helping bring more extraordinary care to extraordinary children facing serious or life limiting conditions. Hopefully we’ll be back in our walking shoes again in perhaps a sunnier month next year to give it another go!🤭🚶🌳☔️ Thank you for all your very generous donations that have pushed us along the way. For now though, special thanks to Jenny Kitchen , Jono Powell, Calvin Davis, Harriet Dolton (née Kinsey), Deneka Francis, Jack Barden, David Monk, Megan Howden, Eliza Staples for their huge determination and efforts. Well done team. For anyone still looking to donate, you can here. https://lnkd.in/eqdYgy9d Mike Masey a grand total of 19 dogs were photographed along the way as part of your donation challenge. Photo collage to follow. 🐶 #yoyo #charitywalk #27.5 #rainraingoaway #oneteamoneyoyo

It's National Inclusion Week - an opportunity to think specifically about what we can do to make sure everyone feels valued and respected as an individual. Increasing inclusivity is ongoing, and is so much more than a tick-box exercise. In every project we work on, people and accessibility are at the heart throughout, and as an organisation we make sure the workplace works for us and not just the other way around. This week is an important reminder that #ImpactMatters - meaningful, sustainable change requires listening, understanding, and taking action on the things that matter. And it's something that we'll never stop working on.

Even though Louder than Words is now behind us, we're still thinking about some of the key messages delivered over the course of the festival. From considering Want vs. Need and learning how to challenge consumerism from Patrick Grant, to bridging the gap between ideas and action that Mary Portas brought to light - there is always space to grow and do things differently. The key underpinning it all was that doing good by people and the planet is no longer a "nice-to-have" or actions reserved for the fringe. It's central to how business can function as a driver of positive impact, and we're proud to be part of that as a #BCorp

With just a week to go until our 27-mile walk through the Kent countryside, we thought it would be worth getting some inspiration from the last time we trekked around the weald. This year, we thought we'd mix things up a little - the team will be completing challenges at every mile. What kind of challenges? Well, that’s up to you - so go easy on us. Or don’t 👀 We'd be super grateful if you helped support our fundraising for Demelza Charity by donating and nominating someone for a challenge at: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eWC6WJF5
