It’s been an action-packed week at Zotefoams, Croydon, as we launched our values workshops and unveiled the Employee of the Quarter programme. From fun filled activities to insightful discussions on what our new values of COURAGE, IMPACT & RESPECT mean, the workshops concluded by inviting employees to define what it means to live and breathe these values. And of course, we couldn’t resist adding some of our signature foam into the mix to highlight what we do best! With over 300 workshop slots filled across multiple sessions, there wasn't an area of the business that didn't get involved! Celebrating a fantastic achievement at the charity netball tournament in support of The Lily Foundation! 🏐 We were proud to sponsor our employees, aiding them to take part in this meaningful event. The tournament was a great success, with the team securing 3rd place in the mixed netball league! 🥉 The Lily Foundation works to improve the lives of children and families affected by mitochondrial disease. Właśnie zakończyliśmy Dzień Bezpieczeństwa 2024 i chociaż było mnóstwo uśmiechów, ten dzień był poświęcony ciężkiej pracy, aby upewnić się, że nasze miejsce pracy jest bezpieczne dla wszystkich. Bezpieczeństwo to nie tylko lista kontrolna — to coś, co budujemy razem, skupiając się, poświęcając i tak, dodając trochę uśmiechu!  Przetrwaliśmy warsztaty praktyczne; zakasaliśmy rękawy i zajęliśmy się sesjami na temat gotowości na wypadek sytuacji awaryjnych, obsługi sprzętu i wykrywania potencjalnych zagrożeń. Dziękujemy wszystkim, którzy dali z siebie wszystko. Safety isn’t just a checklist — it’s something we build together with focus, dedication, and yes, adding a little smile!  We’ve survived Hands-On Workshops; we rolled up our sleeves and tackled sessions on emergency preparedness, equipment handling, and spotting potential hazards. Not just one, but two German Packaging Awards, including Gold 🥇 We were delighted to attend the Deutsche Verpackungsinstitut’s awards ceremony during FACHPACK this week to receive ReZorce® Circular Packaging's Award in the Sustainability – Overall Concept category. And things got even better at the end of the ceremony, when ReZorce was announced as one of just five Gold Award winners, from an initial field of 250 entries. Great to see the versatility of our Plastazote® premium foam material being put to excellent use in this innovative project including our partners Gruppo Sogimi, S5Lab and the European Space Agency - ESA. The design of the experimental RETINA project led by S5Lab required a coating with very high thermal insulation capacity, which could guarantee protection during the flight to the stratosphere, which will take place at the beginning of October from Kiruna, north of the Arctic Circle, and requires resistance to temperatures from -80 °C to + 5 °C.

We’ve been extremely busy at Interfoam China 2024 this week with lots of interest in our entire range of superior foam materials. Sustainable foam materials were high on the agenda, and Fabrice Lacroix, Global Business Manager for the Azote® premium foams product line, shared insights on the future of sustainable foams as part of the conference programme. In addition to explaining how the Zotefoams Difference enables us to deliver superior performance with less material, Fabrice highlighted how Zotefoams is contributing to the development of more sustainable foam materials with our Ecozote® Sustainability+ range. Ecozote® foams are made with 30% recycled materials, offering an eco-friendlier alternative for various applications. Following the success of Ecozote® LDR—already widely used in product protection—we’re have also introduced Ecozote® PE/R, our first foam made with 30% post-consumer recycled content. Its fine-cell structure and matte black finish make it a fantastic solution for luxury packaging and beyond.
