Stanway School Colchester asks for volunteer mentors and business people to spend two sessions with their year 10 pupils. We work with them on their interpersonal skills including interview techniques, eye contact and handshakes. We talk to them about the world of work, what they are likely to experience and what makes a great employee. We give them our time so employees will feel more confident in giving then theirs.
We also work with them on their social media representation and get them…Stanway School Colchester asks for volunteer mentors and business people to spend two sessions with their year 10 pupils. Over seven years with this charity - it has been buffeted by turbulent times, seen multiple trustees come and go, and survived through liquidation. i-Teams was originally set up by MIT. The University of Cambridge adopted their own version with Essex piloting our programme in 2016 - on which I was a business mentor. Students gain hands-on experience to apply skills and knowledge to industry and provides a great opportunity to network with local business. Furthermore they experience team-working in a commercial environment, problem solving and at the end presentational skills. The businesses get a fresh set of eyes on a vexing issue.Other creatorsSee project -
Tutor Doctor
-
I worked on this project with a local businessman named James Cracknell; a man who thrives on creating effective working relationships within businesses and who has adapted those skills to incorporate students and tutors in the local area. As part of the 'Tutor Doctor' franchise, it was important for us to create an individual identity to help set the Colchester North branch apart. SEO was also important, by incorporating keywords seamlessly into the text.

Because equality is better for everyone and because inequality at its extreme, erodes the aspirations of people trapping them in downward cycle. When you look at the issues we all face - BREXIT, political instability and infighting, immigration without integration, and a media dedicated to hold us to values that have no place in a modern 21st Century society, this one issue should solidify us. My grandchildren deserve better than that. The WE party is about inclusiveness, getting rid of the biggest single bottle neck to growth both personal and societal. If we can't embrace this single human right what chance have we to bring about wider purposeful change? The UK could stand out as a bastion for this one, single issue - and be the most attractive and desirable place on earth to work and build your dreams. Join us and make this become reality. We need it - or have you not listened to the BBC's poor excuses?
