This position is part of the UK Centre of Excellence (CoE) Financial Accounting team. The role involves the provision of support to the UK CoE Financial Controller and two Financial Accountants. The main activities concern preparation of reconciling the inter-company balances, SSF management accounts, IFRS 16 lease accounting and preparing for a new company wide ERP.

The UK CoE Financial Accounting Department; Department Managers; other departments within the UK CoE; the broader AtkinsRéalis Finance community (including overseas FC).

Occasionally AtkinsRéalis suppliers & customers.

Job Description

  • Review and enter exchange rates and project rates into JDE.
  • Completion of monthly continuity and enrichment schedules in FCCS.
  • Completion of forms for the Office of National Statistics.
  • Analysis and submission of related party transactions for parent company.
  • Reconciliation of intercompany balances using BlackLine.
  • Raising payment requests for intercompany payments.
  • Coding of internal recharges from Corporate.
  • Preparation of month-end journals.
  • Assist with the monthly inter-company reconciliation process and feedback to Group companies (over 80 overseas entities).
  • Assist with raising of intercompany invoices.
  • Assisting with annual transfer pricing invoices.
  • Assistance with the preparation of annual corporation tax packs for 15 statutory companies.
  • Liaising with intercompany contacts to resolve invoicing queries and ensure timely payments.
  • Preparation of UK CoE monthly management accounts and budgets and forecasts.
  • Providing data to auditors via Deloitte Connect.

Other Tasks As Required, To Include

  • Assisting other UK CoE Teams, including Management Accounting and Statutory Reporting.
  • Updating files and processes in preparation for a new ERP.

Technical And Professional Experience

  • Part-qualified in a recognised professional accountancy qualification.
  • The candidate must have an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including use and set-up of Pivot tables and formulas.
  • Experience of an accounting software package.
