This is a great opportunity for those with previous experience in finance, who are looking to bring their valuable skills to a company, with fantastic development and growth potential.

You will support the delivery of company-wide transactions and processes within the Finance function at the logistics depot to support the strategic objectives and maintaining financial control. You will ensure accurate finances to support business decision making, ensuring that your thinking is customer first in all aspects of your role, improving processes and outputs through simplifying tasks.

key responsibilities include:

• Identify and highlight financial risks and opportunities for departments so that managers across the business can respond to them on a timely basis.
• Demonstrate a customer focus through daily routines
• Participate in projects based on providing expertise and support for improving business processes and procedures.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including stores, to understand and meet their needs.
• Consult with managers across the business to understand requirements and identify opportunities to speed up and simplify.
• Produce budgets for key financial metrics – understand, analyse and communicate them.
• Maintain financial control, apply Group accounting policies and work within risk appetite.
• Understand the environment of the area in which you work and the implications of changes.
• Provide variance analysis and trending techniques to measure performance against budget, forecasts and business cases.
• Support a continuous improvement culture focusing on service and costs. Generate your own ideas for improvement and drive through to delivery.
• Produce periodic forecasts to enable managers across the business to understand current trends.

• Working towards an accounting qualification (ACCA,ACA,CIMA)
• Good verbal communication skills, ability to articulate financial data in a clear and transparent way
• Resilience and the ability to adapt in an ever changing environment
• Attention to detail skills
• Good excel use and understand of macros helpful but not essential
• Proactive and able to work in a fast paced environment
• Coding/Google App Script understanding but not essential
