Life as an IT Support

As our IT champion, you will manage incoming support chats, calls and emails on behalf of our Central Functions (Finance, Technology, Brand, Quality, People) and EMEA teams and will be the first point of contact for all technical support service requests - remote and onsite.

The ideal candidate will be a keen problem-solver who is passionate about providing exceptional customer service. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment but also know how to create and grow sustainable processes that make the job of IT easier.

With a strong tech‐driven culture, we have the same high standards with our code, systems, and people. Working closely with our IT Manager, you’ll experience learning and growth as you support our colleagues in Medik8 headquarters and get involved in wider projects.

No two days will be the same and you’ll gain exposure to the many areas of the business that IT flows through.

In more detail your role will include:

  • Logging and resolving all IT issues received in the agreed time frame.
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
  • Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults.
  • Monitoring and Maintaining all IT equipment with documentation and records of software licensing.
  • Building and managing relationships with all departments, vendors and suppliers, ensuring communication is effective.
  • Set up new starter station desks and assist with training the new staff.
  • Working closely with the IT Manager on various ad-hoc projects.

What You Will Bring..

  • Proven experience in a helpdesk or technical support environment.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace applications (Gmail/Drive/Docs/Sheets etc.)
  • Experience with Windows Desktop. Chrome OS would be a plus but is not essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to document complex technical issues consistently and thoroughly.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent customer service and troubleshooting abilities in a distributed-working environment.
  • A good eye and attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly.
