Geophysics training in Guinea ⛏️ At Seventy Ninth Resources, every step we take is backed by precision and expertise. Right now, following training at our LS project in the Republic of Guinea, our team is on the ground preparing to carry out a crucial geophysics survey at our LM Project. Armed with GPS equipment, they are meticulously “walking the lines” of the project, covering an approximate 8km+ per day. This detailed mapping is a vital stage in the lifecycle of a project generator company like ours. By analysing the subsurface, we can identify key geological structures, refine our exploration targets, and make informed decisions that drive the project forward. This is just one of the many steps we take to de-risk exploration and maximise potential before advancing to the next phase. Seventy Ninth Resources: Changing Lives and Restoring Hope 🤝 Working closely with the communities in which we operate is a vital part of  Seventy Ninth Resources' mission. Understanding the daily challenges that  Guinean mining communities face has enabled us to drive forward initiatives that positively impact their lives. One such initiative, that is very close to our hearts, is our involvement with the Fombek Orphanage in Siguiri, Republic of Guinea. The Fombek Orphanage was founded in 2001 by Marie Gouhara and provides a safe haven for the children of Siguiri. We were so touched by the Fombek Orphanage that we decided to use our platform to highlight the incredible work that goes on there through a documentary film. Last week, our in-country team hosted a screening for our Fombek Orphanage film with attendees from the local communities of Siguiri. The event was a celebration of the impact that the film has had in the Republic of Guinea and beyond. Take a look at some of the highlights from the event below!
