Throwback to our SME Group Meeting on March 18th! 🎉 This was the third in our Pull Women Through the Pipeline series, where we explored the power of networks in building stronger talent pipelines and accelerating women’s progression into leadership A big thank you to Sally Foote, Chief Commercial Officer and Sarah Blewett, Head of Research from Carwow, who delivered an inspiring session on their Senior Women’s Confidence Project. Their work is a brilliant example of how a focused, grassroots approach within a women’s network can create real impact – driving confidence, leadership readiness, and business performance. The session was hosted by Jane Cusdin-Harris, and here are some key takeaways: - Not all networks are created equal. We explored the distinct roles of affinity groups, ERGs, and external networks in supporting women at different stages of their journey. - Carwow’s Confidence Project showed how mentoring groups focused on mastery and accountability can help close the confidence gap and boost leadership potential. - The programme is employee-led, zero-cost, scalable, and now shared with other businesses. 💡 As Sally said: “Just start. Have a go.” – a perfect reminder that small steps can lead to meaningful change. 📘 Book mentioned: The Confidence Code by Katty Kay and Claire Shipman 📆 Save the date for our next SME Group meeting: Thursday, July 10th, 11–12.
