The British Business Bank is the UK’s economic development bank. Established in 2014, our mission is to drive sustainable growth and prosperity across the UK, and to enable the transition to a net zero economy, by improving access to finance for smaller businesses. We work with more than 200 partners to deliver funding programmes that address gaps in the small business finance market. This page will showcase inspiring smaller businesses, information about our delivery partners, events we'll be attending as well as information about our Midlands Engine Investment Fund II launching in 2024.   • ➡️ Warwickshire based music company, Totally RAD Music has secured a £100k investment from our Midlands Engine Investment Fund II. 💪🏻The investment will support the development of Totally RAD’s new online platform and enable the company to expand its services to adult learners at all skill levels, from beginners to experienced musicians. 🌟Totally RAD currently employs eight staff at its headquarters in Leamington and expects to create five new jobs in the year ahead. 🔗 Read more here: https://bit.ly/48BYLPA #Investment #Midlands #FundingNews

  • A two-time breast cancer survivor Alexandra Perry found it difficult to find attractive post-surgery bras after her operations and she realised she wasn't the only one. With a Start Up Loan from First Enterprise - Enterprise Loans, she started H.E.R Bodywear to bring post-surgery bras that are medically approved and designed to enhance women's confidence to the market. "Since I founded my business I have received tremendous support and have been able to share my story across multiple platforms. To be chosen as the Ambassador for the East Midlands as an example as a success from the Start Up Loans programme is flattering - I am excited to see what’s next for my business," says Alexandra.
