21Shares have announced that the fees on the 21Shares ByteTree BOLD ETP (BOLD) have been reduced from 1.49% to 0.65% from Monday, 24th September 2024. The BOLD Index was created to track the performance of Bitcoin and Gold on a risk-weighted basis. The index is rebalanced monthly according to the assets’ 360-day inverse volatility. Due to the low correlation between Bitcoin and Gold, rebalancing transactions have delivered excess returns of approximately 5% per year over buy and hold since Bitcoin has become a more mature asset. #bitcoin #gold #bold #boldetp #21shares #bytetree #research

The BOLD Index allocates to Bitcoin and Gold on a risk-adjusted basis and rebalances monthly. The latest rebalancing at the end of August set the new target weights as 25% for Bitcoin and 75% for Gold. Bitcoin and Gold are important alternative assets. March was a great month for Bitcoin, Gold, and BOLD, with all three seeing improved price performance. This is despite the fact that institutional investors and wealth managers have been selling Gold since mid-2020 (this has now eased), and the majority have yet to allocate to Bitcoin. Mainstream investors have barely started on this journey, which makes things very interesting.
