Researching human behaviour and decision-making, and the implications for forming and implementing public policy.
About us
The El-Erian Institute of Behavioural Economics and Policy (EEI) at Cambridge Judge Business School, is dedicated to researching human behaviour and decision making, and its implications for the formation and implementation of public policy. By leveraging the combined expertise of faculty at Cambridge Judge Business School and researchers across the University of Cambridge, the Institute aims to identify new ways to address social challenges and improve lives. EEI was created by a generous donation from University of Cambridge alumnus Dr Mohamed A El-Erian. The donation is divided between the University and Queens’ College. El-Erian Institute of Behavioural Economics & Policy reposted this
Assistant Professor in Environmental Economics at Grantham Research Institute, London School of Economics
📢 New Publication Me and my co-authors Paul Lohmann, Lucia Reisch, and colleagues from The Behavioural Insights Team have just published a new article titled "Choice architecture promotes sustainable choices in online food-delivery apps" in PNAS Nexus. Our study shows that simple menu design tweaks can significantly reduce the carbon footprint of food orders - by about 12%! Not only did this approach lower emissions, but it also led to healthier food choices and higher customer satisfaction. We therefore believe this to be a cost-effective and impactful strategy for promoting sustainability in everyday decisions. 🍽️🌍 Find the full paper online: https://lnkd.in/gASGSdXE #Sustainability #BehavioralScience #ChoiceArchitecture #FoodDelivery Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change & the Environment El-Erian Institute of Behavioural Economics & Policy Competence Centre for Economic, Ecological and Social Sustainability Free University of Bozen-Bolzano
