In late 2023, Telcom was selected by Cardiff Council to supply the city with hyperfast gigabit connectivity. Many parts of Cardiff already had access to fibre-powered high-speed connectivity but, still, areas remained where connectivity was lacking and a digital divide had emerged. By 2025, we'll have helped Cardiff Council roll out full fibre connectivity across the city, creating digital inclusion for all. Yesterday was International Podcast Day! 🎙 Our new podcast - Chewing the Channel - is coming soon. And here's a little sneak peek at the branding! Doesn't Will Goodall look great? Our first guest on the podcast is Jonny Rae, who chatted us through his career to date and the creation of Fibrenews. We've got the next couple of guests booked in too. In the second episode, we'll be speaking to a very insightful business owner to get their view on the market and delve into the realities of running a growing business. And plenty more to come! Keep an ear out for the launch in the next couple of weeks.

The team have been filming in Manchester diving deep on our HyperCity infrastructure in a new video, which we'll be sharing in the next week or two, looking in detail at how we have built our fibre network. Our CTO, Thom Seddon will explain how the metro fibre networks we've built across our HyperCites work, from data centre to customer premises, and how our own network and infrastructure engineers ensure we continue to deliver an excellent service for our partners. We had a busy but enjoyable day across three locations and are looking forward to sharing some 'behind the scenes' footage of the physical necessities that go into maintaining the UK's fastest business internet.
