ARMSA Academy’s completion of the renewable energy industry’s first cross-functional, multi-stage research study on the impact of early project development decisions marks acritical time for the industry. Reaching across the renewables landscape, including solar, wind, and battery storage, we asked project developers, operations managers, construction managers and health and safety advisors, “How can we develop high value renewable energy projects?” We wanted to learn how early project development decisions influence safety, performance, and profitability during both construction and operational phases. The full research report is free and available now. To read and download, click here. https://lnkd.in/dFuT3ZiJ Two key insights from the report: ✓ Critical gaps exist in project developers’ management of lifecycle risk. A full 80% of respondents did NOT consider operational strategy during early project stages, indicating an alarming gap in long-term risk planning. ✓ Developers perceive their own decision-making as better than those in the construction phase. 67% of construction professionals report that developers do not communicate the presence of site-specific hazards and risks in the preliminary scope of work packs. Additional key insights will be released in the coming days, so stay tuned for more! If you’re a project developer and you’d like to learn more about the research or pre-register for an exclusive project developer training course – available to 10 people only – to address these issues, drop us a comment below or email khalida.suleymanova@armsa.co.uk. PS. The findings from this research are now being incorporated into ARMSA Academy’s machine-learning based mentor, h-alt.io® Fully integrated into Microsoft Teams, h’alt® delivers role-based content to you and your development team when needed, helping to optimise decision-making across the asset lifecycle. #renewables #research #safety #performance #profitability #solar #wind #batterystorage
