Another great piece following the #R2S conference earlier this year! Thanks for sharing, Demi Bako 👏
✨ What were some of the most vital insights from the Resilient Renewable Society Summit (#R2S)? Demi Bako, an MEng student in Civil and Environmental Engineering, shares her reflections in a recent article on the event. Here are her highlights: 🏘️ Societal resilience: emphasising that resilience extends beyond infrastructure to include the preparedness and adaptability of communities. 🤝 Cross-sector collaboration: recognising that tackling climate challenges requires cooperation across industries, governments, and communities. 🖥️ Integration of technology and policy: highlighting the need for regulatory frameworks that keep pace with rapid technological advancements in renewable energy. Demi looks forward to applying these lessons to her research and future career in renewable energy. Thanks Demi for your reflections and raising the student voice! 🙏 You can read the full article below... #Resilience #Sustainability #R2S Institute for Security Science and Technology (ISST) EIS Council

Last week we hosted a welcome afternoon for this year's MSc Security and Resilience: Science and Technology students! The cohort, GTAs and some of our teachers got together for afternoon tea and social bingo in South Kensington. It was a great opportunity to take stock of the first couple of weeks and get to know each other a bit better. Well done to Lucy and Emily, two of our bingo winners 🏆
