🏨 Broadwick Soho: Precision, Performance & Bold Vision Bringing a project like Broadwick Soho to life required more than just an eye for #luxury—it demanded #TechnicalExcellence, #adaptability, and a deep understanding of how to integrate cutting-edge #engineering into a high-design space. As the #mechanical, #electrical, #PublicHealth, and #sustainability consultants, Introba stepped in to help navigate complex installation challenges, align project responsibilities, and push the hotel toward completion. We increased site presence, took a hands-on approach to commissioning, and ensured every system met the highest performance standards. The result? A space that's not just visually striking but operationally seamless, allowing the design to shine while ensuring #comfort, #efficiency, and #sustainability behind the scenes. Antony Gradley and David Glossop will be at the International Hospitality Investment Forum (IHIF) (#IHIF) 2025 and will be available to discuss Broadwick Soho and the future of engineering in your hospitality projects. 📅 31 March - 2 April 🏨 InterContinental | Pullman, Berlin Read more about Broadwick Soho here ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gp9Ba59f #IHIF2025 #BroadwickSoho #HospitalityInvestment #EngineeringExcellence #Sustainability #LuxuryHotels #LivingSystems

Really proud to share this press release announcing the recent opening of the voco Zeal Exeter Science Park in partnership with Zeal Hotels and Valor Hospitality. It has been a career highlight for me and my close colleagues to be able to contribute to bringing this project to life. Let me tell you why this property is so special: This is the first branded hotel in Europe to achieve a #BREEAM Outstanding rating for its design and construction. The low #EUI (Energy Use Intensity) it is forecast to achieve is years ahead of best-practice construction in the hotel sector. It is expected that the hotel will generate more electricity through its on-site renewables, than it consumes. Everything used in its construction and fit-out has been selected to meet balanced criteria of embodied energy, longevity, recycled content and reuse-ability, cost and efficiency. This hotel successfully challenges some of the long-established expectations of the hotel stay experience, helping their guests to make informed decisions and leading the charge on genuinely #SustainableHospitality. I know that the project and hotel team share my pride in congratulating our partners on this breakthrough development for the branded hotel industry, and we are all looking forward to welcoming guests to this #ReliablyDifferent hotel for some thoughtful, unstuffy, charming, signature voco Hotels #TrueHospitality. Congratulations to Zeal Hotels | Mindfully Modern Valor Hospitality Partners Simon Lousada Tim Wheeldon Tony Clark Barnaby Kean Brian McCarthy Jon Colley RED Construction Group ECE Westworks Westworks Interiors Hydrock, now Stantec Introba McGregor Coxall Ruth Wainwright Beth Ardron Daniel Palmer and thanks to Sue Gilruth Michael Oats Katy Brooker Anya Gordon Clark Matt Walton Julie Cheesman MCIPD Nicole Shaw and ANNA CORKILL for their support.

At Connect25, I was reminded of a simple truth: our greatest strength lies in our people. In Vancouver, over 90 leaders from TYLin, Introba, and Landrum & Brown gathered to shape our collective future. It was inspiring to see such a diverse and passionate group come together to explore new ways to drive innovation, strengthen collaboration, foster generosity, and define strategies that will help us continue supporting our clients in making the world a better place. The energy, exchange of ideas, and shared commitment to leading our industry left me feeling inspired for what’s to come. As we continue to learn from one another, strengthen relationships, and align our efforts, we are building a stronger, more connected foundation to reach our fullest potential.

It's so cool to be part of the team that delivered the UK's first Net Zero hotel. I only recently joined, so I wasn't involved in this one, simply watching enviously. That was all the hard work of the great Introba UK & Ireland team (Iraklis Stivachtaris in particular). Hopefully, I will get to be involved in the next Net Zero hotel, or perhaps another Net Zero first. I might have to find an excuse to go visit!
📰 UK Construction Week-end reading UK’s First Net Zero Carbon Hotel Completed at Exeter Science Park RED Construction Group has completed the UK’s first branded Net Zero Carbon hotel, the 4-star voco Zeal Hotel at Exeter Science Park. The 100% electric hotel features the UK’s first vertical photovoltaic cladding system, generating more solar energy than it consumes. It achieves a 70% reduction in operational energy costs and significantly outperforms sustainability benchmarks, with an Energy Use Intensity (EUI) of <60kWh/m²/yr and a 50% reduction in embodied carbon. The £22M, 54,000 sq ft hotel includes 142 rooms, a restaurant, bar, conference facilities, gym, and EV charging stations. Sustainability was achieved at no extra cost, proving the viability of low-carbon hotel development. RED Construction and Zeal Hotels call it a benchmark for the industry, demonstrating how collaboration and innovation can drive net-zero hospitality forward. Source: BDC magazine
