Our work on Cambourne Village College Phase 3 is now complete, ready for students to enjoy the new facilities this September. Having successfully handed over Phase 1 back in 2013, we returned to the site in 2018 to begin the delivery of Phase 3, starting with a standalone sixth form building. In 2022, our brilliant team constructed five additional buildings to complete this phase of the development. The expansion provides 300 additional places for students, supporting Cambridgeshire County Council's aim to accommodate Cambourne's community growth. #EastMidlands #cambridgeshire #builtbybrilliantpeople #education #completedproject

🚏We've handed over Arle Court Transport Hub to Gloucestershire County Council! WATCH below as local resident John Bowen became the first person to park on the multi-storey car park, after he showed a keen interest in the project. He was closely followed by Cllr David Gray, Cabinet Member for Environment and Planning, who drove and charged one of the council’s electric vehicles. The state-of-the-art facility will transform the travel experience for users by providing enhanced park and ride facilities that are both convenient and comfortable. The scheme has also been designed to offer improved sustainable travel choices and better connectivity to local active travel, which in turn will reduce congestion, lower CO2 emissions and improve air quality in the region. #KierGloucester

🥇Feeling inspired by the Paris Olympics? Us too!🥇 At HMP Elmley, the team have fully adopted the attitude of marginal gains made famous by former British Cycling Performance Director, Sir David Brailsford. 🚲 Our sustainability framework encourages our expert teams to look at all areas of their work. From procurement to design, making marginal gains across all areas towards more sustainable projects. Learning from best practice across our business means we deliver national expertise locally. Our #KierSouthern team at HMP Elmley has been using experience gained across our previous MoJ projects such as HMP Five Wells and HMP Millsike to best deliver the new fully electric T60 Houseblock. The innovative X-shaped design will be highly energy efficient and built using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), creating the best results in a sustainable way. ⏲️ Capturing history for future generations Just before the summer holidays, we'd been working with Cheshire primary school children to help bury time capsules within the new public square and alongside the relocated war memorials in Winsford Town Centre. As part of our work to regenerate the town centre on behalf of Cheshire West and Chester Council, year 4 pupils from Winsford High Street Primary School provided the contents for one of the capsules as part of a project with our #KierNorthWest team to learn more about the work, site safety and careers in construction.
