Day 2 Wrap-Up: Future of Asset Management Middle East As the Future of Asset Management Middle East comes to a close, today's discussions highlighted the region’s rapid growth and evolving investment landscape. On the Middle East’s potential as an asset management hub, Chris Kroeger, Head of UK and MENA Consulting, Asset and Wealth Management at Alpha FMC, noted: "The Middle East is on a much higher growth curve and has greater asset pools. It has the opportunity to become a key asset management hub in the future and leapfrog Europe and Asia." Meanwhile, Ali Dibadj, CEO of Janus Henderson Investors, outlined three major regional trends: "One is the private markets, private credit in particular. There is a need for local bespoke private credit investments in the region. The second trend is the move away from passive as a driver of returns. We’re more focused on fundamental analysis and areas like active equities and active fixed income. The third trend is the sophistication of the market, particularly in the wealth channel. The clients are very sophisticated and we thrive on that." Thank you to all speakers, delegates, and partners for an insightful two days of discussions. Until next time! #FTFOAM

Day 1 Wrap-Up: Future of Asset Management Middle East A day of insightful discussions, key market trends, and thought-provoking perspectives come to a close. On regional capital markets, Tariq Al-Sudairy, Managing Director and CEO of Jadwa Investment, highlighted the potential for greater integration: "Capital markets in the region are fragmented, and we can expect to see passports come through in the future. Certain regulators are already working on these initiatives. Do we expect to see the integration of capital markets across the region? We’ll have to wait and see, but so far, we have seen early steps towards the first stage of integration." Meanwhile, Stefan Dunatov, Chief Strategist at Abu Dhabi Investment Council (ADIC), addressed the dynamics of Abu Dhabi’s sovereign wealth funds: "How do the Abu Dhabi Inc sovereign wealth funds differ? Do they coordinate or compete? You don’t want all your eggs in one strategic basket. There is overlap but not competition. It’s about collaboration. Each one has its own strategy, and the cohesiveness of the funds is what matters. It’s about setting out your strategy and making sure you execute your strategy in the long run." With more insights to come, we look forward to another engaging day tomorrow. Stay tuned! #FTFOAM
