Last week, our MeetEngland Business Events Executive, Hollie Chichester joined a FAM trip with Norwegian-based company Z Event AS, in partnership with Spectra DMC, VisitBrighton and MeetSussex, to showcase the best of what the region has to offer. The group visited iconic Brighton sights including Brighton Palace Pier, Brighton i360 which boasts beautiful views over the ocean and city, and the famous and historic meetings and events spaces including the Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival's Dome, The Corn Exchange and the Royal Pavilion. Exploring the Sussex countryside, the group enjoyed a wine tasting experience at two multi-award-winning vineyards, highlighting the English wine region's history in producing world-class sparkling wines and leading food and drink experiences. Brighton and Sussex is a unique destination and it was great to meet with Z Event to highlight some of the region’s exciting #MICE offerings, spaces and business opportunities to the Norwegian market. #eventprofs #businessevents #famtrip VisitEngland | VisitBritain

Yesterday our team members Paul Black and Molly Low were delighted to attend the 10th Anniversary of NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau’s Conference Ambassador Programme, Newcastle Gateshead Initiative. It was fantastic to meet with some of Newcastle’s ambassadors, with speeches from Newcastle University’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Chris Day, Paul, as well as the Newcastle Convention Bureau team and Newcastle University Conference team. The Ambassador Programme has delivered 105 conferences in the last 10 years to the North East region in leading sectors such as, medical and life sciences, green energy, and statistics. Beyond the numbers, the community engagement, elevated research and sectoral alignment really epitomise the valuable regional collaboration when hosting business events. Thank you and warm congratulations to the Newcastle Convention Bureau team and Newcastle University Conference team for 10 years! #IMEX24 is finally here! Before the official trade show begins, our MeetEngland team kicked off Smart Monday with the first event of the week. Alongside our 11 England partners, we connected with 20 North American Meeting and Incentive planners and buyers for a classic English Afternoon Tea. It was great to meet with buyers and discuss what England has to offer the North American market.
