Last week, we were delighted to host our successful MAINstream Pitch Event, in collaboration with Hazlewoods, that took place on Thursday 10 October at The Clarence Social in Cheltenham.   The MAINstream event showcased various pitches from high-growth, early-stage companies and was followed by an inspiring Q&A panel session with Richard Yorke, Cyber Tech Entrepreneur, Investor and Advisor, Bay Burdett, Founder of Bay's Kitchen, and Melanie Goward, who manages the new early-stage growth investment team at Maven Capital Partners. What a great turnout yesterday at the launch of the first Cheltenham-based Michelmores MAINstream event in partnership with Hazlewoods. With the aim of helping to drive growth in the region where investors can connect with high-growth companies, this insightful afternoon brought together members of the local business community and four innovative companies who took to the floor and presented engaging pitches to the room in true ‘Dragons’ Den’ style - KAIAKO AI, Lutra Health, Ciqurix, Goldwise These were followed by a panel session, chaired by Michelmores Partner, Adam Kean, and Hazlewoods Director, Rich Grover. Bay Burdett shared her experiences of seeking investment in her business Bay's Kitchen, Melanie Goward of Maven Capital Partners explained what an investor looks for in an investment opportunity and founder, and Richard Yorke, angel investor and cyber tech entrepreneur, shed light on the Cheltenham and Gloucestershire ecosystem.
