The words you speak to your students today may feel like whispers, but in 5 years, they’ll echo in ways you never imagined. I’m sure we can all relate to having at least one teacher who truly cared. The one who went the extra mile, believed in you, even when you didn’t believe in yourself. Can you relate? I can name quite a few who’ve had a tremendous impact on my life. They looked past the troublemaking, loud-mouthed boy who got excluded and saw the leader in me—the diamond in the rough. It’s not always possible to go back and thank the teachers who poured into us, to let them know their words weren’t in vain. So what better way to do that than by expressing my gratitude to a group of senior leaders last Friday at MAT Partnership Network (MATPN) I know every single person in that room has impacted the lives of other people’s children—future leaders. Last week, I had the honor of being the opening keynote speaker for Day 2 at MATPN and loved every second of it. What a privilege it was to pour back into leaders who consistently give without expecting anything in return. I started and ended my keynote with this sentiment: “If it wasn’t for leaders, teachers, and mentors like yourselves, speakers like me wouldn’t exist.” Thank you, Chester Freitas and your amazing team for having me! It’s always a pleasure coming to MAT Partnership Network (MATPN) connecting with incredible leaders, speakers, delegates, sponsors, and some familiar faces who share the same passion for growth. To name a few thank you: Matthew Shanks FCCT Adrian Rogers Ann Palmer FCCT Nicola Antwis John Murphy Sue Costello Reuben Jacob-Levett Dana Saxon David Didau Sam Holderness Charlie Cutler Angelina Idun Nichola Nelson And thank you to the following speakers for your excellent presentations: David Harris Gary Wilkie Kim Wilson Dana Saxon RICHARD GILL CBE D.Univ Gail Brown David Harris Rowena Hackwood Amanda W. I really enjoyed my first MAT Partnership Network (MATPN) last week in Bristol supporting Jon Neale and Quizizz. It was great to talk with trust leaders and other partners about how Quizizz is genuinely a tool that can have real impact in the classroom - interactive videos, flash cards, retrieval practice, lesson plans, multiple different question types - and using AI purposefully. My highlight for the conference was listening to Amanda W. being interviewed by Matthew Shanks FCCT about SEND. It made a lot of sense. And to be honest, this is also the best part about Quizizz for me - accommodations. Being able to toggle on and off support mechanisms like read aloud, letter spacing, dyslexia friendly fonts + loads of others is powerful. And with my ADHD brain - toggling off the leaderboard would’ve really helped with my distractions! This isn’t an ad either. I just really believe the tool works #IDEAS #digital #education

Helping schools and MATs digitise and streamline their recruitment process | The leading ATS for education | Partnerships Manager at MyNewTerm
A fantastic few days of events this week for me 🚗 Starting with attending BASBM: Birmingham Association of School Business Management to network with School leaders, many of which already benifit from our platform. I then headed south west for MAT Partnership Network (MATPN) in Bristol, where it was great to meet with MAT leaders to discuss how and why the digitisation of recruitment is so important 📊 We are fixated on the candidate journey in what we all know, is a challenging market to recruit into. As a result we feel making this journey as easy as possible whilst remaining fully compliant is a key focus. 📈 Thanks to my colleagues also for a great few days.
