Launched two years ago this summer, the #NHSInnovationService has assessed and supported over 700 innovations, providing access to tailored, end-to-end support from a range of expert organisations. 🚀 Digital and medical devices make up the largest proportion of innovations that have come through the service 🚀 The service supports innovations at all stages of development from ideas to prototypes to innovations already deployed in NHS services 🚀 Support includes everything from early stage advice to commercialisation, evidence generation, procurement and getting registered with the relevant regulatory authorities. 🎉We're thrilled to share a groundbreaking case study which is identifying patients at risk of Hepatitis C and also mapping prevalence in different areas. The project is a collaboration between Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and the Discover-Now London Secure Data Environment.    🔍 Key figures:  - Analysis of de-identified GP records from NW London, finding 479,471 at-risk patients  - Enabling targeted interventions for at-risk patients - Supporting the WHO goal of eliminating Hepatitis C by 2030  - £14,600 investment with far-reaching impact This project showcases the immense potential of de-identified data analysis in transforming healthcare delivery. We have published a new report that looks at different ways to improve clinical research for participants. Our People-Centred Clinical Research project, run in partnership with members of the public, researchers and the University of Lincoln, has made 19 recommendations for change, and identified nine hallmarks of good research. We are calling on researchers and research organisations to take a look at the findings of the report and use the recommendations to take action to help create the best environment for people to take part in research.
