Looking for a fashion focused placement local to Nottinghamshire!? 👀💫 Meet Cosi – Professional Student Wardrobe Coordinator here at Nottingham Trent University … helping our amazing students find the perfect look for their upcoming interviews, pitches, placements and more! 👋✨   When not on placement, Cosi study’s Fashion Communication and Promotions at Nottingham School of Art & Design – specifically focusing on sustainability and ethical practices. She’s passionate about nature, travelling and her unswerving dislike of drinks of the diet variety – in her words “full-fat drinks only!” – and spends her time outdoors and with animals 🍃🌷   “My role entails coordinating and overseeing the Professional Student Wardrobe. This can include visual merchandising, social media marketing, team leading, event planning and coordinating, employer leasing, data analysis, styling, promotional activities and shoots” 📸   The NTU X White Rose’s Professional Student Wardrobe launched over a year ago and is a sustainability-driven initiative that provides students with free professional clothing for interviews, placements, and employability events - breaking down financial barriers to career opportunities while promoting sustainable fashion by reusing and repurposing second-hand high-quality clothing 🌟   … A special thank you again to White Rose for collaborating with us on such an impactful project 💫   “Getting to see the real impact of initiatives like the Professional Student Wardrobe has been extremely rewarding - whether that’s boosting their confidence for an interview or making professional wear more accessible to those who may need it. As part of Neurodiversity Celebration Week, we caught up with one of our neurodiverse students to share their experiences when it comes to navigating the ups and downs of university life. From balancing assessments to adjusting to life away from home, their journey highlights the importance of support networks and the power of self-discovery. … And here are just a couple of their top tips, tricks and advice: ✨ When making the transition from school to university, except some trial and error when it comes to managing your time between your studies and social life … “in my first year at university I joined a bunch of different societies - this started to feel too much - so by the end of the year I went down to one” ✨ If you’re struggling to adjust to different ways of learning and assessment styles, be sure to seek support from a mentor … “I sometimes find independent learning difficult to do - finding a balance when it comes to work and relaxation - I’m glad to have access to mentorship to relieve stress and guide me through it” ✨ For most students you’re not only entering a new learning environment but living on your own for the very first time, with that in mind - don’t expect to be able to do it all at once - find what works best for you! … “I’m most proud of achieving great grades in my assessments and also living away from my parents - while I’m not great at cooking, I can still heat up leftovers, buy ready meals, and cook fish and wedges in the oven” Want to learn more about what is happening around NTU for Neurodiversity Celebration Week? https://lnkd.in/etn6CQSn #NeurodiversityCelebrationWeek #NTUStudents #UniversityLife #NeurodiversityAtNTU #StudentStories
