At #NNL24, we explored how to grow beyond external & internal limits 🚀. The key takeaway? You’re never stuck. Where you begin doesn’t determine where you’ll go. Even if you’ve spent years in the same environment, you’re not planted there permanently🌿. Thank you, Osaze Ighodaro, for sharing your highlights! Two standout quotes from our wonderful panellists on this theme: 👉“You’re not a tree; you can move.” - Tamu T., Author, Coach, Speaker 👉“The company will always be there.” - Niamh Callaghan, Business Consultant, CGI This reminds us that we have the freedom to adapt, even if it means stepping away from what’s familiar💙. Nurture Network is about sharing the real stories of women and minorities who’ve broken out of confining spaces. Looking for inspiration to make a bold change? About us
The Nurture Network is a networking hub hosted by Lemon Quarters Squared for UK-based female professionals and entrepreneurs across all ages, sectors, regions and at all stages of their business journey. The network is free to join. The purpose of the Nurture Network is to give all women in business a seat at the table. The anchor is a virtual roundtable event that brings 10 women together to share their business experiences, mentor each other and network. It is an informal, off-the- record hosted conversation designed to garner advice, inspiration for those at the table and help to inform decisions about future content for Nurture Network. Rich related content will be shared via social media - Instagram, Linkedin & Twitter for Network members and a wider audience. The content will also be a skills development resource for all to consume and share. There is one corporate partnership slot available per event. We want to help corporates build on their diversity, equity and inclusion agenda, support women in their industry and build a talent pipeline. Nurture Network will address the following: increasing diversity within organisations; creating business opportunities for women in leadership roles; addressing the current skills gaps; and increasing networking/mentoring opportunities.

"Unwittingly, we write the story of our future from narratives based on the past..." – Gabor Maté This powerful quote, referenced in Tamu Thomas' Women Who Work Too Much, reminds us how deeply our behaviours are influenced by history—both personal and generational. It’s easy to forget that the mindsets that served our parents or ancestors don’t necessarily serve us today. This Black History Month’s theme of #ReclaimingNarratives reminds us of what Tamu Thomas describes in her book - reclaiming the stories and rewiring the mindsets that have shaped us to create a future that prioritises joy over survival 🌿. Thank you, Tamu T., for sharing these much-needed thoughts in Women Who Work Too Much and at #NNL2024 last month 🌟! What if real resilience is about pausing, reassessing, and taking intentional steps toward a healthier, more sustainable path? 🌱 “When Life Happens” was one of our most-loved panel discussions from #NNLive2024. Thanks Ananya Rath, for highlighting how our panellists reminded us that life happens to everyone - and that resilience is not just about endurance but also self-compassion. And a special thank you to our incredible panellists, Dr. Vanessa Awong Eya'a 🩺, Chelsea M., Shaunn Griffiths, CFA, Emily McCorkell, and Daria ☆ Preston, for sharing their deeply personal stories of navigating life's hardest moments, which resonated with so many of us 🙏 . 🌟 Exciting Insights from Nurture Network Live 2024! 🌟 Yesterday, our team had the incredible opportunity to attend the Nurture Network's conference, themed around 'It takes a village'. The day was packed with insightful talks and panels, but our favourites were: 💪 Louise Jones talking about her experiences as a sports psychologist, and how you can apply similar principles in your career and business. 💔 A panel discussion on how to navigate your career or business when life happens. The panelists were admirably vulnerable about sharing the trauma they had gone through and how it had shaped both their professional and personal lives. 🙅 Tamu T.'s reflections on toxic productivity, and how women can break the cycle of constantly feeling like they need to be productive - not just at work, but also at home and socially. We also got to meet some inspiring women from different backgrounds and lives! A big thank you to the organizers for creating such a great experience. 👉 Learn more about the event and the Nurture Network here: https://lnkd.in/eSVWk4pM Marie-Claire F. Irma O. #SpeakerUpdate Last Friday, we sat down with the #DreamTeam panel, and we want to congratulate Jas Schembri-Stothart, co-founder of luna, a platform addressing the lack of digital health resources for tweens and teenagers. luna provides a safe space for young people to access reliable information on health topics such as periods and relationships—without relying on misinformation from social media. The platform is designed to be relatable and is developed by experts to ensure it meets the needs of its young users. Excitingly, luna is now officially global with over 100,000 members! When we spoke with Jas at the beginning of summer, they had 25,000 members. We can’t wait to unpack with her and the rest of the panel what makes the perfect Dream Team—or leadership team—as an entrepreneur or in the corporate space. We also learned more about Leigh Walters-James, who started out surfing the shores of Bondi Beach in Sydney, became a chef, then a corporate negotiator and lawyer, and is now MD at Accenture. We’ll also hear from Ian de Cordova at BT Group, whose company is pushing for more financial support for founders with disabilities, and Roxane Sanguinetti, co-founder of Alma Angels, which is disrupting the investor ecosystem. Facilitated by Julie Blane foundering partner at @The Table VC More to come! We'll be sharing sneak peeks by the end of the week. It Takes a Village is on...
