On Wednesday night, we hosted the first Pitch Play Pint (football followed by the pub) in Camden in collaboration with carbon reduction agency, Small99. Turns out that getting people together for some five a side is a great ice breaker, and made for some relaxed conversations over a Murphy’s (Guinness shortage still on) about sport, planet, eco jargon and the chances of Forest doing a Leicester to win the league. What if football and sustainability could be combined? We're running a PPP with a difference in January! To try and start new conversations, we're hosting a Pitch, Play Pint in collaboration with Sokito. This is the same as our People Planet Pint format, but with a bit more movement involved. If you want to join at the pub, that's also fine, but there'll be 4 games of 20 minutes kick about before hand to get the blood moving. This is the first in Camden so head along and show support! We’re excited to announce our collaboration with Sokito to bring you something new --- ‘Pitch Play Pint’. Same format as People Planet Pint with a bit of running around the pitch beforehand! Kick off: Wednesday 22nd January It’s free to sign up and open to anyone (you don't have to be the next Salah). So if you want to get moving in January and meet people who love sport and a bit of climate chat, join your hosts, Liam McSherry, Dan Sandison and Grace Quinn in Camden for the first 'Pitch Play Pint.' 🌍 What’s the format? For the Pitch and Play part, your hosts will organise people into teams with matches lasting 20 minutes (8 minutes each way with a 4 minute break). We’ll do our best to make sure everyone gets some time on the pitch. From there, we’ll head to the pub. ⚽ Do I need to bring football boots? If you can, yes, but the Sokito team will bring a number of boots in most sizes in case you don’t own any, forget to begin them or want to give them a run out. 🌎 Can I skip the play part and just come to watch or meet at the pub?
