Really excited to be delivering these popular courses again with industry expert and former regulator Andrew Sheen for Risk Learning, Risk.net, in May! TPRM and Operational Resilience are two of the hottest topics around and are key areas of regulatory focus, and set to continue to be so for the foreseeable future. This is especially so given the multitude of regulators implementing new policy to reflect BCBS principles on TPRM and Op Res. In the UK, just as firms thought they could breathe a sigh of relief after the end of March deadline, there is a new policy on CTPs, consultation on operational resilience incident reporting and onerous new requirements on TPRM (including reporting 53 data points at least annually to regulators on material third parties), and we also have DORA in the EU and a possible new UK DORA being consulted on in 2H 2025. Even after the end-March deadline in the UK, regulators have confirmed they expect firms' approaches to op res to continue to evolve, including considering non-duration-based tolerances (e.g. number of vulnerable customers impacted), enhanced testing (including live tests of plan bs), obtaining assurance that third (and nth) parties are sufficiently resilient and building 'resilience by design' into change management and strategy.
