Our Health & Care teams are delighted to support Nutrition and Hydration Week 2025. As one of NHS England’s three parts of good care, creating positive patient experiences that aid recovery through good hydration and nutrition is our core focus. Our main patient dining partner apetito UK has been making nutritious, award-winning meals for over 60 years. Through our collaboration, we provide patients with comprehensive and nutritionally complete tailored menus, designed by in-house dietitians. Every meal is cooked by their talented chefs and frozen within an hour to lock in nutrition, freshness and flavour. We are committed to providing high-quality and cost-effective meal solutions without compromising on taste or nutritional value. For Food Waste Action Week, we’re celebrating a major milestone: Sodexo UK & Ireland is on track to slash food waste by 50% by 2025 - five years ahead of the UN’s goal! How? WasteWatch! Our game-changing food waste tracking programme is used at 530 sites, driving: ✅ 2.7M meals saved from going to waste ✅ 10K+ metric tonnes CO₂e cut - that’s like powering 1,000 homes for a year ✅ 45% food waste reduction (and we’re pushing for 50% by August) Fighting food waste isn’t just good sense, it’s a key step in our 2040 net zero journey. Our Sodexo Government team recently launched the Social Impact Reporting Platform – an innovative contract management tool created to track, measure and quantify the social commitments made in client contracts and bid commitments. Directly responding to Government clients' evolving needs, the tool provides clear, verifiable metrics that showcase our social impact and enable public sector buyers to quantify the social impact of public sector procurement.
