Well done to our award-winning Strettons Receivership team! 🏆 Congratulations to our Director of Receivership Charles Kornbluth, who was awarded the Bridging & Development Lending Association's Benson Hersch Memorial Bursary last night.   BDLA is a trade association dedicated to bridging and developing lenders, helping raise standards and build growth in a sustainable, customer-focused market.   The bursary was created to develop individuals who demonstrate an appetite to promote the interests of the short-term mortgage lending community and a commitment to the values promoted by the association.   Since taking over as Receivership & Recovery team lead in 2023, Charles has grown and developed his team to support their varied client base and many complex recovery cases across the UK.   Very well deserved!

2024: The Year of Receiverships 🏢🔍   Development Finance Today explore what the rest of 2024 could look like for receivership and insights into the market.   Charles Kornbluth, Head of Strettons Receivership, shared his views: 'We continue to take appointments across the country and we’re noticing more cases outside London — some 65% of our current workload.'   A few key points include: ⬆️ Increased Receiverships: The first half of 2024 saw a 13% increase in fixed charge receiverships for corporate loans. 📍Geographic Shift: More cases are occurring outside London, with the South East being the most active region. 📈 Market Pressures: High interest rates, material costs, and labour shortages are heavily impacting partially completed developments.   Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eVdWDSq7
