Join us for the S&P Global Commodity Insights webinar: "Q3 2024 US Natural Gas Supply Outlook" Producers have displayed reluctance to increase volumes in 2024 so far. The next two years will be a wild ride for natural gas prices and production; demand impulses will arise during planning seasons — an annual period already fraught with uncertainty and caution. LNG demand through 2026 is largely locked in. Near-term capital discipline, dry powder in the form of drilled but uncompleted wells (DUCs), completed but delayed turned-in-line (TIL) wells, production curtailments and a conservative planning price outlook among producers will likely cause Henry Hub volatility as operators ramp to meet export demand, but with an eye toward positive cash flows. How can indigenous companies transform Nigeria's energy landscape? 🔍💡 Chappal Energies is making significant strides with its recent acquisitions from Equinor and TotalEnergies, tapping into the opportunities created by supermajors divesting their onshore and shallow-water assets. With the acquisition of operational rights in the OML 128 and OML 129 fields, Chappal is set to enhance its reserves by around 570 million barrels, in addition to 670 million boe from TotalEnergies. This strategic expansion positions Chappal to play a critical role in Nigeria's energy future, especially as major companies pivot towards deepwater projects. The potential to double production by the early 2030s speaks to the untapped resources waiting to be developed. I had the pleasure of chairing a dynamic session on August 6th at the S&P Global Energy Forum in Rio de Janeiro, where we explored the critical role of Latin America in the global energy landscape. With its abundant hydrocarbon reserves and strategic geographic position, the region is driving innovation in exploration and production, with countries like Brazil and Guyana leading the way through recent discoveries and technological advancements. I was fortunate to share this lively discussion with my esteemed guest panelists Claudia Pessagno, Ha Nguyen, and Ricardo Savini. Together, we navigated the future of upstream in Latin America and exchanged valuable insights that will shape the industry’s path forward. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this session truly enriching! #Energy #OilAndGas #LatinAmerica #Upstream #Innovation #Sustainability #InvestmentOpportunities #SPGlobalEnergyForum Upstream by S&P Global Commodity Insights
