The joint-stock company «National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan» was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 27, 2019, No. PP-4249 «On the Strategy for the Further Development and Reformation of the Electric Power Industry in the Republic of Uzbekistan». «National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan» JSC is part of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. NEGU's primary objective is to meet the growing demand for electricity in Uzbekistan and promote the sustainable development of the energy sector. The company operates and maintains a vast network of power transmission and distribution lines, substations, and other infrastructure to facilitate the efficient supply of electricity. NEGU is also involved in the planning and implementation of projects aimed at expanding and modernizing the national electric grid. These initiatives focus on increasing the grid's capacity, improving its reliability, and integrating renewable energy sources into the system.
