JSC Uzmetkombinat (RSE: UZMK) has received a score from CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) – one of the leading international providers of ESG ratings. According to the results of the CDP Climate Change 2023 assessment, JSC Uzmetkombinat was given a score of “C”. The result equals to the global average score and demonstrates CDP's recognition of Company’s awareness and measures taken on a wide range of issues in the field of climate change. The CDP score received by JSC Uzmetkombinat is the first and only experience of this kind both for the Company and for the entire Republic of Uzbekistan. The participation in the CDP assessment will play an important role in further strengthening the trust of investors and creditors in the Company, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the region in general. Comprehensive work to prepare and support the Company for participation in the CDP assessment was carried out with the involvement of Finvizier Consultancies DMCC. JSC Uzmetkombinat has reported to the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on transformation activities of the Company on February 1, 2024. It has been noted that the four companies together with JSC Uzmetkombinat hold a significant position in the economy of Uzbekistan. Over the past years, these four enterprises have attracted investments totaling 7.4 billion dollars.
