🌟 Exciting Update on Vietnam's F&B Trends! 🌟 In the face of economic uncertainty, we’ve seen promising developments over the past year. Notably, 42% of individuals reported improved personal finances, with expectations for this figure to rise to 63% in the next 12 months. Despite these positive trends, spending habits have shifted. While personal finances have improved, consumers have cut back on nearly all expenditures except for fresh produce and utilities. Spending on dining out and alcoholic beverages has seen the steepest decline. Surprisingly, even the popular coffee culture—often encapsulated in the phrase “Cà phê không?”—is witnessing a decrease. Even more surprising is that Gen Z is adopting a more frugal approach to dining out. To navigate this challenging landscape, F&B businesses must understand the evolving priorities and preferences of their customers. Our latest report, F&B Trends in Vietnam 2024, offers valuable insights into consumer behaviour, helping your business adapt and thrive during these economic shifts. 📊 Discover more data-driven insights by checking out our latest F&B Trends Report 2024: https://lnkd.in/ePAyw2gs #DecisionLab #FnBTrends #VietnamInsights

🎉 Our CEO Kicked Off Vietcetera Media's Inaugural Customer Forum!  Decision Lab was pleased to present insights from our quarterly Connected Consumer Q2 2024 report, which shed light on effective strategies for engaging late Gen Z consumers in the rapidly evolving digital landscape. The forum brought together nearly 100 industry professionals for insightful keynotes and a panel discussion. We extend our gratitude to Vietcetera for organizing this impactful event and to all participants for their valuable contributions. Here are three actionable steps to help your brand connect with this segment: ⭐ Understand social media trends: Gen Z is a dominant force in shaping social media trends, influencing future consumer behaviors. Brands should prioritise engaging with this emerging consumer group.  ⭐ Establish digital presence: Gen Z exhibits unique preferences for digital platforms compared to older generations. Brands must establish a presence on their preferred channels to effectively engage and convert this demographic.  ⭐ Focus on content relevance: With shorter attention spans, brands need to understand what resonates with Gen Z for better content development. Relevancy in content is essential for engaging this tech-savvy group. CEO Decision Lab - Creating the leading insights and analytics consultancy for Vietnam 🇻🇳🤩

🎤 What an incredible experience speaking at Vietcetera's Flavors Vietnam Conference! It was an honour to dive deep into the dynamic shifts in Vietnam's F&B landscape with such an engaged and insightful audience. 🙌 Key takeaways from my presentation: 📈 Vietnam's economy is rebounding, with GDP growing 6.93% YoY in Q2/2024, signalling strong post-pandemic recovery. 💰 Consumers are saving more but being selective with out-of-home spending, focusing on budgeting and value for money. 🍽️ Dining out remains a core part of life, though there is a notable shift towards more frugal spending, especially among Gen Z. 👨👩👧👦 Emotional connection matters—Vietnamese consumers prioritize meaningful dining experiences with loved ones over unique or extravagant offerings. 💡 The top priorities for diners are value for money, food taste, and ingredient quality, underscoring a return to the basics of good food and service. 🙏 A massive thank you to the organizers, especially the team at Vietcetera Media, for putting together such a thought-provoking event. And, of course, none of this would have been possible without my amazing team at Decision Lab, who worked tirelessly to produce these insights. Let’s continue pushing the boundaries of innovation in the F&B sector! 💪 Hao Tran David Tuan Anh Nguyen Linh Dan Le Uyen Dinh Tina Dang #FlavorsVietnam #VietnamEconomy #ConsumerInsights #TeamWork #DecisionLab
