🚗  Grand Opening of the Seeds of Hope - Automotive Training Program and its Workshop! 🌟 Today, October 11, 2024, IECD Vietnam and our partners celebrated the inauguration of the Automotive Practical Workshop as part of the Seeds of Hope - Automotive Training Program. This boarding program prioritizes training in automotive painting and maintenance for underprivileged youth. The innovative training program lasts just 9 months. Students will spend the first 3 months learning from experienced trainers and experts using the most up-to-date and practical curriculum based on real-world needs. They will also gain hands-on experience with modern equipment in our newly renovated workshop. Following this, students will undertake a 6-month internship, benefiting from a mentorship approach with partner companies to refine their skills in a real work environment. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our esteemed guests from various Vietnamese and French departments, our sponsors and partners, as well as the dedicated educators, experts, and students who attended today’s ceremony. 🔴 THE FRENCH BAKERY ALUMNI CONNECTION PROGRAM 💛 Last week, LBF organized a special alumni connection program for graduates of the La Boulangerie Francaise project at the ST25 by KOTO restaurant, located at the Sofitel Saigon Plaza. The event brought together 64 alumni, trainers, project team members, and IECD Vietnam in a warm and inspiring atmosphere filled with memories. Throughout the program, attendees reflected on their journeys, sharing the challenges, struggles, and significant progress they’ve made in transforming their lives. Notably, LBF students had the opportunity to listen to inspiring stories from KOTO alumni, individuals who have overcome adversity to achieve success, while embodying the spirit of sharing and giving back to the community. This event is part of our ongoing efforts to inspire and build a network of change for LBF students. We hope it continues to spark motivation, empowering students to confidently pursue personal growth and contribute positively to society. 🔴 Empowering Women in Business Through Technology On August 29th, Lê Thị Riêng Vocational School, in collaboration with the Women’s Union of Thu Duc City, organized a special training: “Digital Transformation in Life and Business Development for Women”. The event attracted over 50 members, providing knowledge on applying digital technology in business. IECD Vietnam is proud to have accompanied the participants on this digital transformation journey. 💡 Key highlights of the program: - Creating and using QR codes in business. - Building personal branding and practicing creating electronic business cards. - Learning about digital transformation and applying artificial intelligence in business. - Writing effective advertising content with the support of AI. Ms. Lê Thị Hòa, Head of the Women’s Union of Neighborhood 8, shared her desire to apply the knowledge to her charity fundraising initiative, which sells organic vegetables. She hopes that through this program, women in her neighborhood will have more opportunities to grow economically while helping those in need. 📍 We believe that with the support of technology, the participants will become more confident, proactive, and successful in their businesses.

📣 INFORMATION SESSION ON THE "SEEDS OF HOPE" TRAINING PROGRAM 🔴 Today, IECD Vietnam, in collaboration with its partner, District Twelve Technical Economic College (DTTEC), organized an information session about the training programs offered by the "Seeds of Hope" Project. 🗣 During the session, students, teachers, and IECD representatives focused on two key training courses: "Automotive Maintenance and Care" and "Automotive Painting." Each course spans 9 months (3 months of study at the school and 6 months of internship at a company). 👉 The Seeds of Hope project is currently enrolling students for the Automotive Maintenance and Painting course until September 10, 2024. 🎏 Integration Ceremony - Welcoming New Students to LBF 🔴 Today, La Boulangerie Française (LBF) is delighted to welcome 9 new students during the integration ceremony held at Thu Duc College of Technology (TDC). These students come from 5 different provinces and cities, selected for their resilience and determination despite challenging backgrounds. Over the next 12 months, the students will undergo intensive training in bread and pastry making. The program also includes supplementary life skills courses such as critical thinking, CV writing, interview preparation, and English classes to help them access job opportunities more easily. Additionally, students will participate in multiple study trips to factories and companies and meet with industry experts to gain practical experience. After the training, they will embark on a six-month internship at renowned bakeries, restaurants, and hotels. Since its establishment in 2017, the school has supported 104 students across Vietnam as of 2023. Notably, 100% of graduates found employment (either employed or self-employed) within two months of completing the training in 2022-2023. We wish them a joyful and meaningful journey ahead!
