Shoefabrik teammates return from Mongolian adventure We wanted to share a huge congratulations to our teammates, Duyen & Tham, who have returned from a sponsored charity trip to Mongolia. During their adventurous journey, they had the opportunity to engage in various activities, including hiking, cycling, horseback riding, as well as visiting charity projects led by the renowned Christina Noble Children's Foundation. The trip to Mongolia was sponsored to raise funds for the Christina Noble Children's Foundation. This organisation is dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children, providing them with access to education, healthcare, and other essential services. The team had the chance to hike through Mongolia's stunning landscapes, take part in a challenging mountain bike tour, soak up in the country's unique culture, and experience horseback riding through the vast expanse of the Mongolian plains. Aside from their adventure activities, they visited Christina Noble Children's Foundation's charity projects, witnessing the positive impact made by the organization's efforts including the provision of education, healthcare, and training to underprivileged children. This firsthand experience gave them a deeper appreciation for the work the foundation is doing and renewed their commitment to supporting such causes. Upon their return, Duyen and Tham are eager to share their stories and experiences with their colleagues. They will be conducting presentations, sharing their photographs, and engaging in discussions to inspire and motivate others. Their commitment to charity, adventure, and personal growth serves as an inspiration to us all. We look forward to celebrating their return and hearing more about their incredible journey.

🌱Embracing Earth Day: Celebrating Sustainability & Making a Difference To mark Earth Day this year we wanted to do our part to help champion sustainability initiatives and conversations- in a creative way. Running our first Earth Day picture challenge, our team were tasked to create artwork which shares the Earth Day message, using waste and recycled materials. We all had great fun creating and sharing the story behind our artwork, from using recycled office items to create a working clock, using waste packaging materials to carve out joining hands to convey our interconnectedness with nature, and a message of reduce, reuse, recycle. We’re reminding ourselves that together we can make a difference and that our actions today shape the world of tomorrow.

Wishing our longest serving team mate a happy retirement! We’d like to share our heartfelt gratitude to Billy Lira, who retired from SHOEfabrik last week after 19 years of service. Billy worked within our production services team as Senior Production Services Manager, but he held many hats- from trouble shooter to quality controller, to educator as well. His passion, expertise and drive are what we will miss most, and we wish him all the best for the future.  

We’re excited to be working with KangaROOS | Originals | Made in Germany, an Authentic heritage brand, great to see them on their Responsible Evolution Journey of Sustainability.
