𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗲-𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿: 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗪𝗲 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗮 '𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀' We’re often asked about organizing a “cooking class,” but we love to clarify that what we offer is a “home cooking experience.” While it might sound less flashy, we prioritize intimacy and authenticity over the typical, run-of-the-mill cooking class. Our hosts, the housewives of Hue, are not just cooks—they’re culinary artists who understand the magic of seasonality, freshness, and the art of healthy living. That’s why we proudly promote an exclusive home cooking experience in the traditional garden houses of Hue. So, what sets Slow Travel Hue Home Cooking Experience apart from a typical Tourist Cooking Class? 💚 First, instead of a professional kitchen or cooking school, our experiences take place in a traditional home, creating a warm, personal atmosphere. You’ll even have the chance to wander through the lush garden, handpicking edible plants, flowers, and herbs for your meal. 💚 Our experience is less about formal structure and more about personal connection. We focus on the cultural and social aspects of cooking. Whether you have specific dietary preferences, want to use seasonal ingredients, or crave something new after your travels in Vietnam, we tailor the dishes to suit your needs. Even something as familiar as a spring roll becomes unique here, with Hue’s own special twist on stuffing and wrapping. That’s why we cater exclusively to private groups, FITs, and families. 💚 Your instructors? None other than our warm, welcoming housewives and grandmothers, whose culinary wisdom comes from generations of family celebrations and age-old traditions. Their savoir-faire goes beyond just technique; it’s a deep well of cultural knowledge passed down through the ages. 💚 The essence of our home cooking experience isn’t about mastering specific techniques. It’s about delving into the cultural significance of the food, uncovering the stories behind the recipes, and experiencing the joy of cooking in a local home. 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱—𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁? While the travel industry hierarchy can sometimes overshadow locally based, expert suppliers, today we want to celebrate the bright side of the sustainable tourism supply chain. There are still discerning tour operators, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), and conscious travelers who are committed to promoting Responsible and Equitable Tourism. We are truly grateful to share the following testimonial from a UK family who joined our cycling tour to Kim Long Garden City last July. ✨✨✨ This was one of the best experiences of the holiday. Delivered by Slow Travel Hue. A fantastic guide – Son – took time to introduce us to the tour and what we were going to do. Bikes for kids were a bit of an issue – they were adult sized and whilst we got our kids onto them – and they are good cyclists, slightly smaller kinds or less confident ones wouldn’t have worked. But that was sorted, and we had a brilliant afternoon; sights, sounds and smells of the garden district. Two great house stops, loads of history, personal stories and Vietnamese hospitality. Another quite humbling experience and delivered brilliantly. Finished with a great meal at a local house, which was so good. ✨✨✨ 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙞𝙙 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨? 𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣? I firmly believe that our success is not only due to the hard work of our Slow Travel Hue team and our dedicated tour guides, but also the result of a successful and trustworthy partnership. It took us four years to build this collaboration with the DMCs who, despite having strong ground teams and their own cycling experiences, entrusted us fully to take care of their agents and customers on this tour. This empowerment means the world to us. Not only do they generate stable volumes, but they also bring great customers who consistently share constructive feedback like this, fostering a shared commitment to promoting people-centered, place-based tourism. 💚 The DMCs transparently integrate local suppliers into their itineraries, which further strengthens our shared values. 💚 Our guide team is continuously improving, our hosting community proudly participates like one big family, and our operations teams are learning from any shortcomings to proactively prevent them in the future. 💚 This journey has been a "humbling experience," much like Slow Food, where local ingredients and recipes come together perfectly over time, made with care and heart. Not all partners or OTAs appreciate this difference, as their focus may lean more toward cost efficiency and “exclusive” expertise. 🙌 But "brilliantly delivered" is what happens when an extensive COMMUNITY of stakeholders collaborates intensively over the years to make tourism a force for good. 🙏 #communitybasedtourism #sustainabletourismsupplychain #sustainability #nature #happiness #slowtravel #testimonial

𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬: 𝐀 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 Her name is Phúc, which means “Happiness.” Together with her husband, Mr. Tuấn, and other villagers in Thanh Toàn, they warmly welcomed travelers, sharing their hard-yet-enjoyable farmers’ lives and stories. They live in a typical country home with lush gardens filled with bananas, cassava, beans, various crops, and livestock. There is a bamboo-shaded veranda facing a riverfront cycling lane where they offer visitors the chance to enjoy farm produce, tea, and conversation. Guests appreciated their hospitality and the laid-back countryside atmosphere. Urbanization, however, started encroaching on their space. Concerned but committed to collaborating with them to host tourists, we asked, “Uncle, Auntie, how can we make it better, together? The guests love you. We have no intention of adjusting the tour and taking them elsewhere. We just need an alternative space to make them feel welcome.” After deep thought overnight, Mr. Tuan called us back and promised to build a new thatched-roof house by the lotus pond. Realizing this would take up their crop area, we suggested reusing an abandoned shelter next to their ancestral shrine house instead. "Why not arrange the activities around your shrine house and the hidden garden? You can make it proper and well-maintained," we offered. "We'll grant you funds for the renovation if it suits your family’s wishes." 💚 Embracing a regenerative and circular mindset, we always asked hosts how they wished to welcome tourists. Within a week, the couple prepared the once-abandoned house for travelers. Guests and guides appreciated it, finding it even better than before. In the end, auntie Phúc and uncle Tuấn refused our funds (even twice), firmly saying, “It didn’t cost us anything, and we are very happy now because it was the right thing to do.” We felt relief and fulfillment because we could continue to invite travelers to genuinely lend a helping hand rather than just consume resources to satisfy tourist needs. #hostingregeneration #regenerativetourism #peoplecenteredtourism #meaningfultravel #communitybasedtourism #nature #sustainability #happiness #rethinkingtourism #forceforgood P/S: If you wish to join sharing their happiness, take in our rural immersion 👉 https://lnkd.in/gdX25AG4

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢-𝐋𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 Whenever considering a potential tourism destination, our goal is not just to create an operational tour but to craft a multi-layered immersion that engages tourists on multiple levels, including cultural, historical, social, and personal dimensions. Let’s explore how Slow Travel Hue envisions #regenerativetourism in the former Duong Hoa warzone, upstream from the Perfume River, through three core processes. 💚 𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 Firstly, RESEARCH and UNDERSTAND the destination. This involves exploring various spots, listening to local inhabitants, and conducting interviews to gather insights and understand the history, culture, and traditions of the destination. 💚 𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐆𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 The travel design goes beyond the technical and logistical details of where, when, and what. More importantly, it incorporates the Why and How, meaning we design thematic layers that gradually reveal the cultural, historical, social, and personal aspects. There's also room to customize the immersion based on customers' interests, wellness preferences, and adventure activities suitable for their physical capabilities. For example, to guide guests through a journey of transformation, the thematic setting and dining experience engage all five senses. We rehabilitate an old wooden house into a charming and welcoming space, with inspirational quotes placed at various touchpoints. Medicinal plants are used in healthy dishes. 💚 𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐀𝐔𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 When it comes to execution, our strength lies in how we CURATE authentic experiences. We involve expert guides to provide authentic and insightful exploration. We organize workshops to help tourists learn local crafts, cooking, and farming techniques. Our guides also ensure tourists experience local festivals and events to fully embrace the vibrant cultural atmosphere. Returning to Duong Hoa, which endured isolation during wartime despite being only 20km from Hue city center, Slow Travel Hue has been co-creating with passionate youth and local families to design and curate an off-the-beaten track immersion. 🌱 Explore more: “https://lnkd.in/gm-PbZAi 😍 The testimonial below vividly narrates how we added LIFE into this transformative journey. 𝐔𝐧𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐄𝐜𝐨-𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 “Driving a gasoline car around the equator emits around 8 tonnes of CO2. One hectare clearcut emits 10 times that amount” The research from ICOS (Integrated Carbon Observation System) offers insight into how clear-cutting emits huge amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere. In a typical production forest in Sweden, the trees are felled after a 20-year rotation. It takes 10 years for the forest to reach a balance and another 10 years until it starts to compensate for the early emissions. In Vietnam, the production forest is typically acacia or paper trees, and the most popular rotation period is 5 years. That is the reality we are dealing with: extreme climate, heat waves, droughts, and floods are becoming more frequent. A monoculture forest is not a forest, and that green is not the same as a natural forest. We have more trees now than ever with a rule of 1:3—cut one, replant three trees. But carbon sequestration is not the same, and it has a long way to go to be the same. While the small team of Slow Travel Hue cannot perform huge missions on carbon offsetting or “green financing,” we have shifted our travelers, guides, collaborators, and hosting community towards reconnecting with nature and treasuring the forests. From slow travel cycling to the Perfume River upstream to forage wild medicinal plants and savor plant-based food to nature immersion in Bach Ma National Park and beyond, we aim to sow the seed to care for our Planet Earth. It might be just a small seed, a drop of water in this boiling ocean, until it ripples and inspires a collective shift in human activities from “killing and replanting” to integrating regenerative tourism from the root. #carbonemission #regenerativetourism #clearcut #reforestration #nature #healing #sustainability #happiness #treeplanting

𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐰: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐣𝐨𝐲! During the past few months, we have given a miss to a few requests from our partners. Often, we explicitly state what we really offer and suggest alternatives instead of simply trying to secure business. We clearly advise against labeling our home cooking experiences as “cooking classes,” to comform the description. We prioritize the right expectation and focus on genuine human and cultural interactions. We decline requests to drive guests around various villages. lagoons, and beaches all in one day just gain edge over competition without cohesive and immersive storytelling. We are hesitant to arrange inspections for partners who try to condense the whole experience flow into one or two hours or who want to cram as many tours as possible into a day instead of intentionally pre-selecting the experience that suits their clientele. 😍 Experiencing a place is vastly different from merely knowing the sites and people. My years as a product manager taught me: “Travel for the travelers, live it, feel it, then advocate for it!” On the other hand, we have seen great satisfaction on recent trips. A group of travel experts did not rush through the “workshop” but engaged deeply, forming emotional connections and deriving joy from the host's life stories rather than just the techniques. While cycling through an ancient village, stopping under the shade of a sacred banyan tree, customers truly appreciated the exposure with nature, despite the 39°C heat. ✨ These observations share a common invitation. Don't show, be the flow! 💚 “FLOW”—a satisfying state of deep engagement in challenging tasks and enjoyment of the process even getting out of the comfort zone. 💚 To provide this optimal experience, we need to embrace a slow mindset. It may seem impractical with busy lives and travel schedules, but focusing on the #process rather than the #outcome can transform travel. 💚 By empowering the hosting community and your partners to prioritize the experience, we can all work towards providing the natural joy of travel and a sense of fulfillment both during and after the journey. #Regenerativetourism starts from treasuring the wholeness of life. #PowerOfFlow #slowtravel #happiness #nature #sustainability #communitybasedtourism

𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬? It is with great emotion that many overseas Tour Operators and DMC partners entrust Slow Travel Hue to offer more immersive experiences for the Fam Trip. What touches us more deeply is the genuine sentiment that people are seeking change and are more open to meaningful interactions and responsible practices, even though this requires stepping out of their comfort zones, both physically and mentally. During our discussions with the travel agents on the Fam trip, we all agreed that doing less harm is not enough. We need to weave an extended community from the visitors to the hosts and everyone in between to generate more positive impacts. 💚 Cycling through a green village and letting the trees provide cooling shade offers a true sense of a “Nature Fix.” 💚 Having a home-cooked meal is a great way to avoid tourism leakage, CO2 emissions, and food waste, not to mention how it helps improve local livelihoods. 💚 Refilling bottles and reusing cotton towels help reduce the pressure on Mother Earth. 💚Practicing #SlowTravel and adopting the mindset of “Less is More,” exploring well-known destinations in depth, makes tourism more balanced than constantly seeking to sell new destinations. 👏 “The more we cycle and connect with the local life scenes—sweating but enchanted—we gradually realize that this is not just another cycling tour.” 👏 “I am so happy that you are here, and thank you for this opportunity to learn, share about people and culture, and contribute to making your place better.” For a decade, our mission has been to plant the seeds of passion to make tourism a force for good, and we are now more optimistic than ever to see the momentum from the community of changemakers. #regenerativetourism #sustainability #sustainabletourismsupplychain #nature #happiness #peopleculture #netpositive

𝐖𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬! Recently, we have coincidentally been involved in many events revolving around cultural sensitivity. There are great encouraging words when guests deeply appreciated the connecting, other may feel uncomfortable with planned encounters. While practicing #peoplecentered tourism, we have been navigating the fine lines between preserving authenticity and embracing interculturality. "Fulfilling in Connecting" conveys the message we aim to inspire our conscious travelers with regarding the #slowtravel concept. There will be no fixed time frame, but thematic highlights and trip cohesion to convey the purpose of immersion. 💚 Through the multitude of human and cultural contacts, we must handle with prudence. Which is why spontaneity may not always be possible. Twenty years ago, our city, Hue, initiated a program hosting tourists to visit traditional garden houses. The host families were busy keeping their residence readily welcoming and widely open. Groups of tourists came in and out, sometimes the guides put aside the family as "a witness". Many closed their doors afterward, but that practice of spontaneity persists today. This had many bad consequences for the hosts, the travelers, which we cannot fully articulate due to limited space in these posts. 💚 Slow Travel Hue approached this must-planned visit purposefully different. No one can expect any hospitality to be nurtured in the long run, without intentionally investing time, talent, and caring for our sensitive HOME. We are occasionally inquired by partners' travel consultants on how to handle guests who like local immersion but don’t want to visit any local homes or dining with local family. 💚 We believe what is missing in the current travel design is a greater emphasis on the What (Product) and insufficient consulting of the Why (Purpose) and How (Better practices). 💚 So we gently equip our partners with all cultural insights and reasoning, and hopefully, they will help their travelers make well-informed decisions. Some may prefer a cultural chat with the host family at the dining table, while others may want to help cook and taste from the kitchen, and still, others may prefer some interaction but a certain space when dining. Nevertheless, travelers should be aware that this is part of cultural immersion, to gain a deeper understanding of traditional living and family values than just a place to eat. They can opt out of home visits or dining experiences to explore other sightseeing because without prior arrangements is also a burden for the community and degrade their hospitality. 💚 Every encounter should be made with careful preparation for hosts and guests to regenerate the essential art of travel. #renegerativetourism #culturalsensitivity #communitytourism #sustainability #nature #happiness

𝐈𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭? Firstly, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Emily Beily from Just Tourism for the great article “Exploring the Tourism Sphere of Influence.” 👌 The visual shifted from siloed, hierarchical to a more symbiotic tourism value chain. It places communities at the periphery to emphasize that "Local communities can seem far removed from the tour operators designing itineraries. Yet, they are the most important stakeholders in ensuring the stewardship of the destination and preserving cultural and built heritage.” 💚 While we completely agree that the global value chain has shifted toward a more sustainable sourcing, we believe that Tour Operators could also reach out to grassroots suppliers in a more creative way. This doesn't mean skipping the DMCs or DMOs; rather, it enhances more effective communication and fastens the influence (i.e during the CBT design process). Therefore, not only the Tour Operators work with the partner DMCs to ask the communities about the benefits they gain, they could innovate the value creation by connecting with the influenced communities through an expert, dedicated in-destination experience creator like Slow Travel Hue? 💚 Slow Travel Hue positions itself as an in-destination excursion operator. We consider, conceive, craft, connect, and conserve successful community tourism experiences. Over the last three years, we have embarked on a pivotal journey of regeneration, in which we are determined to wholeheartedly engage from the grassroots. We have sharpened our vision for #Happiness, #Nature, #Sustainability for our "Home and Hosts", Place & People. By leaning into indigenous knowledge and encouraging community participation, we can implement more proactive nature-based solutions. For instance, it's not about offsetting the GHG emissions but rather working on reforestation, regenerating green landscapes, and enhancing water recycling to cure the roots. 💚 We have constantly engaged in deep conversations with our communities to understand their potential concerns and needs. Social networks like LinkedIn and other digital means help us reach out to a wide range of #Travel4Impact entrepreneurs, responsible tour operators to share more success stories, facilitate peer-to-peer empowerment. 💚 We know your customer needs and we understand what the communities concern, how they prefer to work together to promote more positive impacts. 🙌 𝑳𝒆𝒕’𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒗𝒂𝒍𝒖𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬? ⁉ 𝑮𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒔 𝒉𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒍𝒚 𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒕𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒐𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒏 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒖𝒔 𝒅𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒍𝒚. 𝑺𝒐, 𝒘𝒉𝒚 𝒅𝒐 𝒘𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒚 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒔? This question is frequently asked by our guides and team members, particularly following the rebound when our experiential tours became even more enriched and purpose-aligned. Explaining the intricate concept of sustainable tourism supply chain management can be challenging. To simplify, our response is straightforward: 🎯 ̳'̳W̳e̳ ̳d̳o̳n̳’̳t̳ ̳j̳u̳s̳t̳ ̳s̳e̳l̳l̳ ̳t̳o̳u̳r̳s̳;̳ ̳w̳e̳ ̳a̳i̳m̳ ̳a̳t̳ ̳l̳e̳v̳e̳r̳a̳g̳i̳n̳g̳ ̳o̳u̳r̳ ̳p̳l̳a̳c̳e̳s̳ ̳a̳n̳d̳ ̳p̳e̳o̳p̳l̳e̳.̳'̳ While direct sales offer benefits like control over cash flow and branding, they also come with drawbacks such as price-driven competition, SEO tactics, and potential mismatches in expectations. Direct sales thrive when supported by a large, tech-savvy team and a product that’s easy to sell. However, Slow Travel Hue is rooted in purpose-led community tours, requiring anticipation and deliberate preparation for meaningful encounters. Our strength lies in human passion, love, empathy, and deep respect for our land, culture, and nature, ensuring authentic immersion at a sustainable pace of growth. For these reasons, we intentionally position ourselves as resilient, reliable links in the downstream of the supply chain, being an in-destination travel experience creators/innovators to assist tour operators and destination management companies in delivering impactful travel experiences. In turn, they help us attract conscious travelers with well-planned itineraries. 💚 How can our community attract 1500-2000 visitors per season with just one "product" one serie without compromising hospitality? Such extensive arrivals not only expand our hosting capacity but also allow us to extend our impact to other families, creating a ripple effect. 💚 How do we secure an additional day in Hue in prestigious travel magazines and market-leading brochures without strong connections and specialist tourism networks? 💚 How can we rebrand Hue as a green destination for rural, cultural cycling, staycations, nature hikes, and foodie discoveries without constant advocacy from responsible, pioneering travel designers? Let’s flow together! By collaborating with the consolidated tourism industry, we can regenerate from the grassroots and achieve slow yet sustainable growth for our destination.
