Testing the content of #basil_essential_oil harvested at the VIPSEN basil field in Quoc Oai, Hanoi. VIPSEN's essential oil distillation equipment is heated by electricity. Essential oils and steam are condensed through the tube heat exchanger. The device ensures the maximum amount of essential oils is obtained with few impurities. Basil oil will continue to be refined by VIPSEN to completely remove organic impurities, Benzo(a)pyrene and DEHP. Methyl chavicol content in essential oil reaches 80% #Vietnamesebasiloil #Vipsenbasiloil #Benzoapyrene #DEHP #Basiloil #Methychavicol

#Organic_cultivation is not difficult The process of planting and caring for plants such as basil and ginger of VIPSEN has actually almost met the Organic standard: no use of pesticides, insecticides, no chemicals, no chemical fertilizers... Instead, VIPSEN uses: - Fertilizer ingredients are composted manure with green manure, straw and other natural minerals. - Eliminate insects with a mixture of alcohol combined with garlic, ginger, neem leaves or 1% Bordaux mixture - Regularly check and quickly remove diseased plants - Farming notebook: Regularly record raw materials, input materials, plant care activities, ensuring quick traceability. ... Currently, VIPSEN is cooperating with many cooperatives and households with large land areas including land ready to convert crops, land that has never been cultivated. With a team of agricultural experts, VIPSEN is confident in converting agricultural production models to Organic, GlobalGAP standards quickly and effectively. Today we visited the basil essential oil production site of Mr. Tuan, a farmer in the suburbs of Hanoi. He has nearly 2 hectares of basil. He has switched from rice cultivation to basil cultivation to supply VIPSEN exclusively for two years now, and his income from basil is higher than before. After harvesting, basil will be distilled immediately in a distillation pot at his family using steam distillation techniques, and cooled and condensed to obtain crude essential oil. We checked the production process and the quality of the crude oil. In addition, we continued to share with Mr. Tuan information about the market's quality requirements, as well as techniques so that he can better optimize his production. This is the regular work of the VIPSEN technical team to farmers who we associate We are currently cooperating with many basil farmers in Vietnam. Crude basil oil will continue to be refined and customized by VIPSEN to meet the different needs of partners. Thanks to its own growing area and extensive connections with farmers, VIPSEN can supply 15-20 tons of basil oil (Chavicol type) to the market every year and can expand further thanks to our standardized model. Most of the current input materials of cassia oil factories in Vietnam are small branches and leaves. Normally, when exploiting cassia bark, farmers will cut down the whole tree. Small branches and cassia leaves are collected after farmers have harvested all the bark and trunk of the tree. The essential oil content in cassia leaves is from 0.5% - 1%, Cinnamaldehyde in crude cassia leaf essential oil is from 80% or more. Currently, Yen Bai (Vietnam) has over 82,000 hectares of cinnamon and is considered the locality with the largest cinnamon growing area in Vietnam. With abundant raw materials, along with the development of the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, the demand for cinnamon oil has also increased significantly. In the province, there are 16 cinnamon oil factories with relatively large scale using boiler technology to produce oil, with a total capacity of 1,000 tons of essential oil products/year. In Van Yen district alone, there are 11 factories with 12 production lines and about 10 private households that manually distill. The average essential oil output reaches over 500 tons/year, accounting for 1/2 of the Yen Bai's total output. About 4-6 storms will affect Vietnam from now to October In the three months of August-October, there are forecasted to be 6-8 storms and tropical depressions in the East Sea, of which 4-6 will affect Vietnam. This number is higher than the previous period. The Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology and Environment (IMHEN) said that the ENSO phenomenon, indicating the abnormal warming and cooling of sea surface temperatures in the eastern and central equatorial Pacific, is in a neutral state. ENSO is then likely to transition to La Nina in the three months of August-October with a probability of about 70%. For agriculture, long-term heavy rains will cause widespread flooding, which greatly affects the growth of crops. It is expected that agricultural product prices in Vietnam will increase in the last months of the year. VIPSEN always closely monitors the situation to continuously update information. Currently, basil, cinnamon, star anise, Tamanu, Litsea cubeba, Citronella, lemongrass... are being harvested continuously by VIPSEN with farmers to increase essential oil production, storage and maintain stable selling prices in the coming time of this year. GOLDEN TIME to harvest basil at VIPSEN At VIPSEN, we proactively calculate the planting time and organic care techniques to ensure that basil plants achieve the most ideal growth. From June to October every year, the continuous sunny days are the golden time when basil reaches the best biomass. When harvested, the plant will produce the highest essential oil content. That is the way to make the production output can meet the large scale at a time and the price does not fluctuate much according to the market. This is VIPSEN's R&D team I feel a little sorry for posting so many pictures and information on my personal page but forgot about them, my colleagues right here! Just two pictures from a normal working day and they haven't prepared much for the pictures. At work, the style of the VIPSEN technicians is always: serious, meticulous and not quiet. They are talented, knowledgeable and experienced. When the work is done, they are all quite good beer drinkers! At VIPSEN, they play an extremely important role in testing, researching and customizing materials and products according to partners requirements. For us, facilities and finance are necessary but people are sufficient conditions. Thank you to the R&D team for the pictures and their contributions. ❤️ #VipsenRandD #Vipsen #Vipsenessentialoil #Vipsenfactory #Vietnameseessentialoil #Vipsenspices
