Today is a Weather Alert Day thanks to the heat and humidity soaring to uncomfortable and possibly dangerous levels today.

Our afternoon highs will be near 100 degrees, and combining that with high humidity it will feel more like 100+ degrees most of the afternoon. Take breaks and drink water as needed!

This will also bring more showers to the forecast, alongside some thunderstorms. We need the rain, so we'll take anything we can get. The cold front this evening will push showers and storms into our area throughout the evening. If we see rain in the afternoon that may keep our temperatures from getting too high.

The lows overnight are warm and only fall to around 70 degrees. We'll still have clouds and a few showers around.

The second half of the week is still above-average temperatures, but it won't be as bad as Wednesday. We're going to be much cooler on Thursday and Friday, with highs around 90 degrees. It still will be humid, with a few showers possible on both days. It looks like most of our rain chances lie with Wednesday this week.

The heat will be right back in place during the weekend, with highs back in the 90s. The humidity will be right back in the unpleasant range, with it sticking around into the weekend.
