I am about 5 hours in on the campaign and am really enjoying it. I love RTS games but have not played one in a while. Its not as difficult and as complex as StarCraft but there is lots of content here and it is a good challenge with amazing cutscenes. Like most of the big Xbox one releases the multiplayer is epic lots of players online and lots of different types of games.

Great addition to the Halo series, but hasn't drawn me back in as much as the original. The diversity in gameplay is definitely felt with many more units and strategies to deploy, but in a way that does detract from it as well because it's hard to get good at a strategy in multiplayer unless you are in a party. The campaign was ok, story was a lot better than Halo 5 but that isn't saying much. It did just end, it didn't feel like the buildup to the end of a game but the end of an act, but with upcoming campaign DLC I suppose this is infuriatingly intentional. I play more skirmish than I do online due to not always have XBLG, but it is fun in itself. It's a shame there isn't a offline Blitz variation thought but again, with micro transactions why would there be. As a Halo nut I am satisfied and I can see improvement on 343's part, so I am more hopeful for the future of the franchise than I otherwise would've been.

Gawd this all sounds rather meh reading it back. One piece of advice I would give is the season pass seems to be very good with upcoming DLC and regular new leaders. This is a strategy game first and a Halo game second and it does work well on Xbox, even if the inputs are more complex than the original.
