It's been over a month since I've purchased this laptop, everything about it on paper is amazing
I love the oled display, one of the best displays you could ever get on a laptop.
Great sounding speakers
Great wifi performance
Good CPU for everyday use
Premium build material but not so great build quality, let me explain, the laptop is made out of aluminium and feels really nice in hand, however, the laptop kept making these creaking sounds when opening and closing the lid, at first I thought it needed to loosen up and then that creaking sound would go away but, it didn't, over a month and it's still making this creaking very annoying sounds
The laptop screen came with some hairline scratches and hinges also came scratched out of the box (I'm very prone to noticing the smallest details)
The package came unsealed and the laptop itself came with the plastic wraping already removed.
This unit does not have Asus warranty and it only has Best Buy's warranty which is a real bummer for those living outside the US, this is something that should have been mentioned in the description since Best Buy is not associated with neither Asus nor Amazon.
I tried contacting Amazon for a return but they said the won't return it themselves and I need to ship it back to them in order for me to get a refund, I didn't have a problem with that until I discovered that no shipping company would accept a "used" laptop because it has a battery in it that has been used, when I tried explaining this to Amazon Customer Service they told me that there's no other option but to ship it myself and kept trying to explain to them that no shipping company would accept it because of the reason mentioned above, after a couple of weeks from recieving the laptop I found a shipping company that would accept it but they aksed me for a label called "MSDS" (Material Safety Data Sheet) in order for them to be able to ship the laptop back to the US, I contacted Amazon again and this time I asked them to provide me with this label that basically proves that the laptop is safe to ship internationally but they refused to provide me with it without mentioning any reason why.
Overall I'm really disappointed since I've chosen Amazon specifically to buy my new laptop instead of buying it locally because of all the trust I had for Amazon and thier after-sale customer service, but unfortunately, I've had a bad experience both with the product and Amazon service overall. Too bad for the world's most customer centric company.
