I have had rotator cuff repair surgery recently, so I was searching for ANYTHING that I could do with my hair.I agree you will need to give yourself grace in learning to use. I have braided horses and my own hair my whole life and it took about 3x until it was easy to do and I was Wowed with the resultsI was displeased the first couple times. Just be patient and fool around witj placements. I wear a side part and am a side sleeper. I can't do a Unicorn with my limited range of motion , but I found a way that works :)I have done the overnight with dry and damp hair. In all cases. I use some hair oil and a little holding gel made by Keratase.Not only do I have gorgeous curls, my hairs is soft and healthy with all the heat styling!I will add pics later.

I have color-treated hair so to minimize hair damage as much as possible, I wanted something that could help me acheive curled hair without using heat tools. Also, curling my hair in the morning for work takes 15 minutes that I could use for other things/tasks. It took a couple nights to really get the hang of my wrapping technique, but it has become such an easy part of my nightly routine that I use it every night regardless if I need "styled" hair the next day or not (I.E., just sitting at home, but with pretty hair, haha). I already started sleeping with a bonnet on, so I simply wrap my hair around the foam roller, secure the roller with the included scrunchies, then stretch my bonnet over my head/hair. I do not find the roller to be uncomfortable at night. There are times I feel like my hair has fallen down the roller, but wrapping my hair a bit tighter around the roller seems to have prevented this. I have been using this heatless curler for about 4 months, so I do feel like I'm still experimenting a little with the technique.

I just used this for the first time last night. I have a LOT of straight, fine hair, about 4 inches past my shoulders. I had washed my hair and let it air dry earlier in the day and then used dry shampoo since my hair gets super oily otherwise.
I used it as 2 'rods', not the unicorn type as I think my hair is too short for that yet.
I had them 'styled' to go on the back of my head instead of right behind my ears on the side of my head.
I overlapped the hair on each side of the 'rod' so it was more like a french braid.
The curls are so delightful! I have a lot of length on the 'rod' for longer hair and there are a lot of ways I can adjust this, including the unicorn style, the placement of the 'rod', and how I twist my hair in it. I'll definitely be telling my friends about it!

If you want this to work out well, then you need 2. Overall it does exactly what it says if you follow the directions. Buuuttt… if you have 2, one doing the front hair and 1 doing the back of your hair, it’ll work wonderfully. Price is steep for some hair curler material wrapped in silk and the couple scrunches they send you.

Okay, I have what I consider to be very annoying hair (super fine hair) and it doesn't help that I just got it cut a shorter length that normal. I have genuinely never written an Amazon review, but this has made my life so much easier. Can’t say enough good things about this product! It really is the little things in life that just make it more pleasant and this is one of them. I have naturally kinda curly/wavy hair so not sure if that matters but it typically takes me so long to style my hair to get my curls to look the way I want them to. The first time I used it I was trying to figure out what to do for my hair for a photo shoot, so I just put this on the night before and I swear I woke up with my hair photo ready!! Definitely recommend doing it with damp hair and upon taking it out, I put in a serum or curl cream, just to eliminate some frizz from where I slept on it. So worth the price!! I’ve been eyeing this for a couple of years and I doubted that it would work on my hair. After chopping off about 6-7” of dead hair from heat damage, I took the plunge and purchased one. Wow!  I was looking for an easy way to get a pretty bouncy blowout look overnight and this totally fit the bill!

As a busy mom, time spent curling my hair everyday just isn’t a priority. With this product I ended up with 3 days of (increasingly loose) curls / waves that were easy to style in lots of cute ways.

I personally chose to use more of a “French braid” technique than the classic “halo” look. It gave my good body at the top of my hair, and prevented and crooked ends. You can see me taking it out in the video and see what I mean by “French braid-y” technique. I should mention this clip is from my very first time doing this so there isn’t really much of a learning curve!

If you’d like to try the same thing, you can essentially:

1. Centre part your hair. Place the curling device down the part of your hair, securing at the front of hairline with a claw clip (or just hold with your teeth lol)

2. Take the front most section from the right side in your right hand (about and inch or wider) and cross it over the curler then keep wrapping so that it exits back underneath and you end up holding the piece again with your right hand (kinda like a 3/4 wrap)

3. Repeat on the left. Alternate right and left, adding more hair in each time just like a French braid.

4. Once you reach the nape of your neck, with no hair left to add, simply wrap the pieces down the rest of the way, leaving a few inches at the end. Bend the end of the curler back over the ends of your hair so they’re pinched nice and flat. Secure the folded portion with the scrunchies included. Bend back the front end of the curler as well and you’re good to go!

My hair was 95% dry when I did this and I removed after sleeping all night.
