I've been a fan… Pun intended… Of the Lasko high velocity fans. This is my third one that I have purchased as I love how powerful they are and how well made they are. The other two that I have are variations on the model, but all are pretty much the same principal. This one by far is my favorite. It is really good looking. It's quite large and it really delivers far as being able to deliver a lot of air. The fan has three speeds, it can rotate back-and-forth, and it has a timer if you want to turn off eventually. It comes with a remote control as well. If having additional airflow in a large living room or just a room in general, this thing will not disappoint you.

You take action yourself! Who cares I'm HOT? It's no sense of urgency to have it repaired and THIS asthmatic needs air or to at least be cool. THIS FAN IS THE BEST! It is so powerful that I often have to turn it to its lowest setting (1), move it back or have it rotate. This beauty really distributes cool air. I love it so much, I purchased another one for home. It's not too noisy at work but I am concerned that it might be a little too noisy in my bedroom. Regardless, it will be tolerable & definitely NOT a deal breaker. We'll 👀 when the other one arrives. With these extremely hot days this fan will definitely help. I'm thinking about buying another one for my kitchen (the air fryer makes it hot while in use). I live in southern Florida and had a Lasko floor fan that ran faithfully for many years, so I tried the same brand of wind tower, model 4930. Same experience, long lasting and I loved remote control, now a must! I purchased a second model 4930, but it has had a loud vibration or clatter about 50% of the time. I probably should see if it can be repaired, just a loose part, apparently — but I NEED AIR FLOW!

I was a little confused by the repeated, persistent description of utility use: Garage, basement, or gym. I ordered it anyway because Amazon is great about returns on those rare occasions. It is fantastic with a little larger air flow area. It's better performance, I think, and very quiet. I think it looks sleek (though nearly identical size) and its design is a lot less cluttered and a lot more attractive. (Again, what's with that description?)
I did take away a star because the remote control is junk. The buttons are as small as teensy pills and aligned in columnar fashion, so it's easy for a fingertip to mash two buttons — more irritating, the fan was VERY POORLY RESPONSIVE, took multiple efforts. In my case, since I already own two Lasko wind towers, with great relief I found that their remote controls are totally compatible! C'mon, Lasko, you've got to offer a comparable quality remote control for these two models, since they're comparably priced! What is the point of buying this tower, if the control performs woefully poorly?
As far as purchasing this wind tower, perhaps you'll be satisfied with the control or the Lasko's customer service will agree to send the better remote control. Talk to Lasko customer service before placing your order? I'm documenting my dissatisfaction in this review. I'd hate to have you pass on this great tower, however.

En mi opinion avienta la MISMA cantidad de AIRE que un ventilador de aspas o de hélice. Pero este hace mas ruido.
Si bien es ruidoso, pero tiene otras ventajas como estetica, tamaño, practico.
Si no tienes suficiente presupuesto, yo te recomendaria que te compres un de aspas. Es mas silencioso y arrojan el mismo aire. Si quieres cuidar la estetica de tu casa o oficina y tu presupuesto NO es limitado. Te recomendaria este.

Here's something important:
I removed the grills on either sides (you'll need a torx screwdriver) and sandwiched a layer of stainless steel mesh grill and a layer of dust filter so the interior never gets dirty (the stainless steel mesh grill is to prevent the dust filter from being sucked in, you could also use plastic mesh grill or whatever is rigid enough and have a good airflow). I vacuum them every 2 weeks so they don't clog and prevent air from getting in freely. I must warn you, this might void your warranty but if you want your fan to be as powerful as it was on day one in the future and prevent it from breaking, developing unwanted noises and so on, you need to do this, otherwise you could try to disassemble it to clean it but I've seen other people do it and it looks like a long and difficult job.
Also, the light form the power button is very bright, you may want to but a piece of electrical tape or something over it if you use it at night in your bedroom.
