I wanted something that wasn’t huge so it could sit it on my counter top. It is a little noise when it’s emptying, but that because I have an open concept so I can hear it operating. That’s when I simply turn it off and then restart later. It’s quick to make ice so that’s not a problem. This is not for a large family or crowd if you want a lot of ice at one time. I got the stainless model and it complements my appliances very well. Easy to use and compact enough to take along or store. Great price and quality. Definitely recommend! Also… there is a film protector on the stainless models incase you are unclear about the color selection as I’ve read in the reviews.

I really like this ice maker, especially the color and the quality. I thought it produced rabbit turd ice, and it turned out it was regular small and large cubes, I already had an ice maker that made those kind of cubes so I did return it, but I really liked it better than the one I have, but I didn’t need 2 Ice makers, so I had to return it. But I would definitely purchase this again when my existing countertop ice maker breaks down,

It works well after almost a week. It does make ice. My main complaint is when transferring it into freezer bin the ice is so wet, it all melts together and you have to use a sharp hard object to break apart-which has now led to a replacement bin for the fridge. The ice texture is nice when fresh out of maker but not as desirable once frozen over night. Makes enough to fill 1 1/2, 16oz cups, per full bin. Full bin takes about 30minutes. Overall, it's a good solution for ice.

$80 and it does what it says and is incredibly straightforward in it's function. It's impressive the amount it churns out. The only issue is that the top cover lets heat in and it takes a bunch of ice to slow down the melting as you await it filling the basket. The water between the ice freezes in the freezer and turns it into a chunk. You can break it by using a butter knife, but that's got to be the biggest trade off and given the price not a huge one.
I think you can assist it's function by dropping ice in the water and it should help speed up the cycle as well as bring the unit temperature down to slow down melting.

I about died laughing when I read Cinders' review about how this will "come in handy when my fridges built-in ice maker freezes up every few weeks"! Why do they do that!? Exactly the reason I bought this. It works well, and I can even envision us taking it camping, since it is very small and not all that heavy for how fast it is able to make ice. Price point was less than half of what a similar unit even at membership-only storefronts. It is not as "quiet" as some have said... The compressor IS impressively quiet, but the fan makes more noise than my other cooling products (like my refrigerators and freezers) do. Still not objectionable, and my Kill-A-Watt says it uses just 100W average during in ice-making. Very impressive.

Great product for those, like me are single, renting a place with limited space/no ice maker in the freezer and no room for bagged ice. This machine works great, I have ice all day. Ice doesn't last super long, but that is the trade-off of hollow "bullet" ice. Make sure if you buy this or any other, use only bottled or distilled water. Using tap will cause mineral build-up. Unit is quiet.
