I just received this bag, and I'm so impressed I had to leave a review. It really is a nice looking bag, and the size is perfect. Just enough for all your everyday essentials, and maybe even some more. The quality of the bag seems good, the zippers all look well made and work great. The hidden zipper side pockets will be great to throw those items in you want to quickly access, like phone and keys. I didn't think I'd like the fluffy little attached keychain, but it's actually cute, not too much fluff and just adds a little extra style. It doesn't bother me, but as some other reviews mentioned it may be made of real fur so take note if that's a concern. Also, as others mentioned it was a nice added touch that it showed up with a scented sachet and smelled good, not that funky smell like some new bags can sometimes have.
The only con I can see is that with the straps in the back, it does add a little difficulty in accessing the main compartment. But to me, that's worth it for the added security of the main pocket being against your back, and the ability to use as a backpack. Also, the side 'water bottle' type compartments don't fit any of my aluminum bottles. But those are just small inconveniences, it doesn't make me love this bag any less.
I can't speak to the durability of this as I just received it, but it does appear to be well made and I don't have any concerns about it. I'll be using it on an upcoming vacation and will be great for switching between using as a backpack and then a purse when you don't want to look so touristy with a backpack. If it holds up well I'll probably order again in another color I love it so much.
Added 6/30: I just wanted to add that after a 10 day vacation to the Smoky Mountains I still LOVE this bag! It held up great, even used it on a few small hikes and was perfect for carrying just what I needed to keep with me. I loved the fact that the main compartment is against my back so didn’t have to worry about theft in the tourist areas. Also, I wanted to add that this bag is definitely waterproof. It rained on us just about everyday and nothing in my bag got wet at all!! Even in a few heavy downpours!
UPDATE 5/23/19 -- I came back to look at this bag again to consider purchasing in another color and was surprised to see all the reviews! When I first bought it there weren't many reviews and now there are a thousand plus! I wanted to come back and add that almost a year later and I am STILL using this bag every single day and it's held up great! I'm talking a full school year of carpooling my kid all over town and being tossed into and out of the car constantly (the bag, not my kid). There are days I know I'll be at school volunteering all day so I carry my full heavy yeti bottle plus all my essentials and it still holds up. I mean I'm practically beating this thing up to give myself a reason to purchase a new one and it's still going! Not even one single small tear or fray or malfunctioning zipper. I'm usually the type that changes purses every couple weeks or so but I still love this bag so much it's been the only one I've used all year!

Second Time Purchase!
I highly recommend this bag. I purchased the smaller bag in 2021 for a trip I was taking to New Orleans. I wanted a small backpack that would distribute weight evenly across my shoulders & I also liked this bag due to the anti-theft concept of the opening being against the back of the person wearing it.I pitched the shoulder strap both times I purchased this bag, so I can't speak to how the bag works as anything other than a small backpack.In 2021, the small backpack became my daily bag, & it lasted three full years before the zipper became unhinged from the fabric (due to me hanging it up at work so often).The images are of the new bag I just purchased (August 2024) to replace the worn out one. The new bag seems to measure up to the same standard of the previous bag so far. I'm very happy.If you're using this bag for a "purse," I recommend investing in a brightly colored small purse organizer insert (pictured: red small purse organizer insert 9.1" length/5.5" height/6.5" width) to help the bag stand on its own when you're putting items in or out of the bag.The side pouches are great for a small foldable umbrella or water bottle (you might be able to see my lotion sticking out).I have walked with this bag many many times in the rain & the items inside were dry as sand.I feel this is one of the smartest purchases I've made. Let's see if this second bag can go there years too!
