I needed a container that retains freshness for my ginger supplies. These are amazing. They keep the veggies and fruits fresh crisp for days longer than if I just put the fruits and veggies in without the containers. I keep my ginger (or berries) in the smaller one along with things like kale, spinach, lettuce in the bigger one. They are just perfect!

I rinsed them, cut off the bottom core and stored them in the large container. The next day they were fresh and crisp! Wonderful results. The lettuce stays fresher longer, too. I love these containers. My veggies have never lasted so long. I made a mistake and bought too many larger ones. I needed more small ones. You can cut up small amounts of veggies for salads and put in the small. Now i think they need a mini size too. . The big one is good for whole carrots, cucumbers and grn onions. Yes I put them together. Oh don't forget your peppers in a med one. Lettuce heads last a long time in the large one. Lettuce leaves whole like red or green last a long time too. I have had to set the containers in the veggie drawers due to fridge space limited, Happymunching!

Honestly, I forget what I paid for this item, but since it has increased how long I can keep salad around by about a week, or more, per bag it has to be paying for itself relatively quickly. Before purchasing this item, a regular bag of store bought salad, or a head of iceberg lettuce would last only a matter of three-ish days before going all soggy and nasty. I had to be committed to having salad with every evening meal or I would end up throwing some away. Now I can keep the same amount of lettuce around for up to ten days, sometimes longer.
